I'm sure he'll get some votes, but I don't see him as a finalist. It doesn't really matter anyway, Carey Price is walking away with it.
Not sure what all of the advanced stats say, but based on traditional stats, and watching his play this year, I think that he has gone from an "average" goalie (top 15ish) to probably a top 8-10 goalie.
For most teams to be successful, that is pretty much all you need. In the playoffs, obviously you need decent overall numbers, but goaltending is more about timing than anything. No one cares if you have a .930 save% if you leak in 3 soft goals in an elimination game. And no one cares if you have an overall .900 save% if you stand on your head in an game #7. |

I also think he'll get some votes. He leads the league in shutouts and has decent numbers/wins. I don't think he will be a finalist. As you said, Price is the front runner. I'd put Rinne and Holtby behind him, with maybe Fleury, Dubynyk/Elliot in the mix with votes. |

Despite Fleury's relatively strong play this season, and 9 shutouts, I just don't see him getting a nomination when there are half a dozen other goalies with just as much claim to the final nominee spot. I think most people would agree that Price and Rinne are locks for the nomination. Fleury is no doubt having a good year, but so are Dubnyk, Schneider, Elliott, Crawford, Holtby, Rask, etc.
Personally I think the nominees will be Price, Rinne & Dubnyk, unless the wheels come off in the final 12-15 games for the Wild. |

Judging by your pure hatred in the past for MAF and having not read it first I'm going to guess you're saying no and have both charts and graphs that skew your hatred in the negatory direction. |

He said no, but not a rude no... moreso saying he'd be between 4th and 6th unless he goes on a hot run. Which is fair actually. |

I agree with your top 3... I think Dubnyk gets some attention if he keeps the Wild in a playoff spot. |

I particularly enjoyed the "chart" with the goalie names in the top left corner but the rest looks like Mohamed Ali tried to draw a straight line with each colour crayon in the box. It's visually less than appealing |

Ill be at the game tonight representing! Not close enough to the ice to bring a sign that youd see, but Ill make sure to boo everytime Sutter touches the puck. |

I'd be fine with that.
Think it depends who we end up drafting this year though. |

You think you'll be able to find an undersized agitator who's relatively slow and has some finishing ability and a penchant for blowing a gasket and taking irresponsible penalties? I'd like to see you try to find a gold mine like that. |
