Well not sure about you guys but Gagne DID look good last night, he looks like he should be skating with Luc & Krejci I was big proponent of using Grifith-Spooner-Koko on that first line but it really seems they are NOT ready for it
Go with Gagne
17-46-12
63-37-18
23-34-21
20-51-53
33-27
44-54
47-86
what is going on with Miller he looks awful ???? was he hurt in training camp or something ??? |

Gagne looked wily out there. For a guy of his experience, that's not surprising. It looks like he's heading to spots on the ice where he expects the puck to come to and more often than not it's getting him good looks.
Miller looks like he's having a mental issue. Maybe pushing too hard? With him and Bart competing for the same opening, it's possible the pressure is screwing with both of them. |

I agree Miller looks a bit out of sorts but the difference is he recovers on the majority of his mistakes. Bartkowski just keeps making them. Its gotta be a no-brainier for management to keep him in and Bart out.
I liked what I saw from Gagne. Completely robbed by Howard. If Looch is gonna get going, no better time than tonight. |

When Campbell returns, either Griffith or Spooner are going down. Griffith can't hang on the top line, and probably can't on the 4th really, either. Personally, I'd like to see Spooner centering Campbell and Paille, with Campbell taking draws and Gagne on the 1st line. Some more hockey to be played before that happens, though. |

Campbell isn't even cleared for contact yet, he's got to be a few weeks away, they're not saying what his injury is other than a "core issue" so leads you to believe it is a stomach muscle strain/ pull THAT'S not good
See how they play against the habs tonight, that new defensive system will be put to a test, not giving that neutral zone was put forth based on this match-up |

Have to give credit to Smith, I was saying all summer "don't care" if Smith ever resigns, he just lives off of playing with Bergy and Marshy, anyone can play with those guys, but he does have great vision and speed he seems legit. |
