Hawks sign Leighton, guess the positive for him is he won't face Kaner in OT again! |

I believe that there isn't a problem with Danault's skating speed. He's not slow or average by any means. Hes was banged up at times during last season. That could have had something to do with it. |

Just to re-emphasize (based on what you wrote today) what you and Eli have been saying for quite a while - no real top-6 threats on the farm. |

Josh Bailey for Brent Seabrook and a conditional* 3rd rounder.
*The condition is that you trade us Seabrook. |

Other than Teravainen? Not really.
Maybe McNeill someday, but he would be somewhere between a 2nd or 3rd line player. However, I'm stretching the word "maybe" a bit, and that could be years from now. It just depends on what he does when he does stick with the big club someday. |

Isn't that the price of winning at the NHL level? You end up picking lower in the draft; the pool most years isn't that great?
And the ones that are.. are already in the NHL? |

I thought the absurd conditional pick would be enough to make it recognizable as non-serious. |

Josh Bailey and a conditional 5th for Brent Seabrook.
The condition is a case of conditioner. |

Tavares for Seabrook? We'll pitch in a 30-Pack of PBR cans to sweeten the deal. |

No way, if you're getting Tavares we're going to have to land Rozsival. |

I've seen him live a few times and watched him closely - he's average or above average in straight up speed but I think his strength is his lateral movement. He's really shifty which helps in the O-zone as well as being quick on the PK. |
