I'd probably be happier getting rid of Gelinas above all the rest. Gelinas is a great player, but he'd be the one I'd be most comfortable giving away. Harrold can go as a package with Gelinas, I'm totally alright with that! It all depends on what's coming the other way as well.

It all depends on how they progress. Santani won't be in the NHL for about another 3-4 years, Jacobs won't in 4-6 depending on how long they stay at college. By that time Greene will have 2-3 years left on his contract. If Severson can come in and take over the PP quarterback than Gelly becomes expendable. Even if that happens and Gelly remains on the PP he could still be of use to us if he can produce like he did this year. Gellinas would be the odd man out right now, but if he can work on his defensive game and become an all round defenseman, than it would be Greene, this is if Larsson, Merrill, and Severson progress like we hope they do.

But looking at it next year, I think Lou will bring back Martin hopefully for 3-4 years to let the other guys grow, there are some reports that he is gonna test free agency next year, and Severson make the team.
