Maybe he's a late bloomer, but in my opinion he'd be lucky to be in Harrolds position. - shvingter88
I agree the guy is 24 two years is questionable if he can't sniff the NHL this year he won't at 26 Harold should be that depth player for Albany not burlon Lou should be signing carter and gelinas long before he even looks at the burlons of the org |

I remember carter playing a little center when we first got him did he not? Would of been cool to have let gio walk and roll with bernier and sign winnik |

I think the only thing we didn't address was how bad we where at face offs last year. I know cammy has played center so hopefully having another guy even if he is now a winger will help. Henrique was getting better last year but might start the year on the wing. |

And buffalo has eleven
Maybe by the time we play them in February, Ryder will be on their team. |

According to Ek, we're in on Kevin Hayes from the Blackhawks
Lets get more forwards to crowd our roster! |

But he's actually young and good. That'd be awesome.
But Eklund also says we're in on everyone, I think he usually just needs an extra team to fill our his rumor blogs. |

I remember when people where saying how good Urbom and Burlon were going to be a few years ago.
Swing and a miss.
For what it worth, I don't really know why people get on Harrold so much. He is what he is, an athletic puck moving defenseman that has average ice vision at best no physical edge to his defensive game whatsoever. Plenty of key flaws that should pigeon hole him as a career 6th/7th defenseman.
That being said, he's clearly the the 7th on the depth chart. They have no intention on having him in the regular lineup. Just a pure guess since it's a silly thing to research, but I think if you ranked the league's 7th defenseman he'd be on the top part of that list. |

If Peter Harrold were athletic he wouldn't be so prone to being demolished by anyone that makes contact with him. And the problem most people have with him is that Pete plays him instead of the kids. |

Athleticism in terms of skating ability. I thought that was very obvious because of the distinct comment that followed about his lack of physical ability.
If that's the case, I wish people could understand that they were just trying to develop kids, rather than choosing to believe that they actually prefer Peter Harrold over....anyone.
They don't. |

Yeah, former 1st round pick, played at BC with Santini. He would be a good pickup for us although we can't offer him a guaranteed spot at this time and that's what he might be looking for. |

And even if his skating ability was above average in any way he wouldn't be getting crushed every time he steps on the ice.

He would be a top our forward prospect list though so whether or not it makes sense for him it absolutely makes sense for us to be interested and with him being near NHL ready and being 6'4 with wheels is very attractive to us and could give him a quicker route to the NHL then a team like Chicago or Florida |

Well, Ecklund isn't a credible source.
As for Hayes, it'd make sense, given how shallow our forward prospect pool is. |

I wonder what we have of value to offer Chicago. Aside from D prospects that I really like. But I know we can only have so many defensemen, and they can't all be kids.
But Chicago would have to take back some of our NHL forwards (which wouldn't interest them) to make room for Hayes. Unless we find a third party to pawn some of these forwards off on. |
