Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks: Does the Future Start Now With Jim Benning? With the Boston Bruins suddenly ousted from the 2014 playoff pictures, is it time for the Vancouver Canucks to make their move on presumed GM candidate Jim Benning?

I haven't been there, but the majority owner also owns a great Italian restaurant, and a few other friends of mine are involved. Great old building right downtown on the harbour, walking distance from your hotel. There is also The Bard & Banker, Irish Times, Garrick's Head, all within stumbling distance. Darcy's and The Local one block away. You will not have any trouble finding a frosty cold one. For your "in room" beverages check out Vintage Spirits in the Rialto hotel, they also have a cool cocktail lounge / tapas bar called Veneto.

You would think with the waning of season ticket holders , Canucks ownership would give the public some interesting things to chew on .

Linden signs RFAs Kassian and Tanev to 6 year deals 5.5 mil per. Both have NTCs

Schroeder signs 4 year 600 000 per year and given NTC also seeing Linden was on phone opening a new Club 16 and agent slipped it by him.

Got to ask you on yesterday's comments about Bieksa and Kesler. You said we become a ringette team

How do you fix current situation then ?

We played like a ringette team last year, what do we have to lose?

I want a Seahawks-style rebuild. No room on the roster or in the system for pillowbiters... Only passionate competitive alphas who play with their hair on fire. Bieksa stays & wears the "C" for the youth movement... Sets an example that you don't just play between the whistles... Mentally & physically owning your opponent starts when you cross paths in the bowels of the building.

Anyone who'd gladly take multiple rabbit punches to the face and then take a misconduct for whining about it can go elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, this DOES NOT mean I want the Bruins model. I consider Ehlers to be the type who plays the style I want and he's a Euro shrimp...
