I am hoping Jim Benning is coming to town. As for coaches I have no idea who would help. That is the most scary IMO |

A big no to Doug Armstrong.
All he managed to do was leverage that's team well constructed future on bad trades.
Found this beauty in the Blues thread post defeat:
" Hate to say I told you so... Actually, I really don't.
Miller stunk it up when he needed to shine the brightest on certain shots during big parts of games. A lot of soft goals. And like I said in February, Miller is not any better than Halak.
And Halak was another joke that your GM Doug Armstrong gave up a 1st round pick for just a few years back.
Now you lose another 1st round pick for Ryan Miller. Do you sign Miller? Who knows. But if you sign Ryan Miller prior to the draft...you lose ANOTHER 1st round pick. All for a guy who has proven for a decade that Ryan Miller does NOT shine bright in the NHL Playoffs.
Another 1st round pick in 2013 was given up for Jay Bum-meester. 0 points and a -1 in the playoffs for a guy that is paid $6.6 Million this year by your brilliant GM Doug Armstrong. A d-men in Jay that was suppose to be the 1A D-men with Pietrangelo. What a joke.
Your GM has more than cemented his legacy for the Blues. He is what I told you 5 years ago when you promoted him to GM during the 2009-2010 season...he has proven NOTHING. And traded a half of dozen of Jarmo's draft picks for Halak, Miller, Bouwmeester and other crap. Not to mention that since the 2010 draft when Jarmo drafted you Schwartz and Tarasenko and than Jarmo left...Armstrong has traded the Blues 1st round picks from 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016 picks away.
Your "brilliant GM" Doug Armstrong mortgaging off the future and trading assets for nothing substantial.
You can say what you want about me. You can defend Armstrong to the minute he leaves STL.
But the facts will never change. "Dougie/Armey" took an unbelivable core group and gutted the team. Doug Armstrong traded assets and also future 1st round picks for overpaid garbage who has NEVER proven themselves in the playoffs.
The thing that killed the Blues this round was Miller was not as solid as Crawford. And the Blues did not have the scoring depth like the Hawks did.
Enjoy watching Lars Eller, Carl Soderberg and Erik Johnson in the next round of the playoffs.
You should have Trusted In Jarmo and promoted Jarmo to GM like he was promised.
Karma.
And the Curse of Scotty Bowman lives on"

With Trevor saying he likes the Boston model, you would have to consider Benning close to or at the top of the list. Parts will be moving this offseason and good relationships such as Linden & Neely can’t hurt as much as Gillis & Talon did right? Roy has not contributed in his last two years in the playoffs, perhaps he's not built for the grind and it only cost us Kevin Connauton and a second-round pick, it didn’t cost the blues any players or picks. Stay away from the Gillis mindset and perhaps there might be some hope. |

you're significantly undervaluing Vanek's presence in Montreal. |

Not to mention Benning played with Trevor and is a west coast guy (lives in Portland OR) |

Hey... maybe Mcfee could trade Horvat to Buffalo for Leino and then pick up penner after you are basically eliminated from the playoffs. Then he can trade Lack to the eastern conference, maybe even Washington, for draft picks and watch Lack be nominated for the Vezina. by the way, which players on the nucks would demand to be traded under mcfee? |

Can't remember where I read it, but didn't Pacioretty say Vanek was really helping him develop his game?

Seems like the obvious front-runner. I wouldn't mind him. I prefer McNab, also would give TB's farm GM Briesbois an interview. |

Saw that post as well Whiskey Tango. Gotta wonder how much the current Columbus management(Davidson/Jarmo) really had a hand in building that team. |

No doubt, sounds like Jarmo developed the team from the ground up with some wicked Drafting.
I'd say the BJ's are in good hands. |

that, plus it's allowed Gallagher to drop into a role he's better suited for on the second line, scored 3 goals against TBay in 4 games. |

Well, obviously the Jesus thing wasn't working so I made the logical conclusion that the Lord of the Underworld was my next best option. We'll give it a week if necessary then I'm on to Voodoo Magic. |
