I would like to see Volchenkov back in the lineup because of his hitting, but at the expense of Captain Softee not Gelinas.

In a recent interview Marty was asked how he liked the offensive style the Devils had been playing and he didnt seem impressed with it at all. Now I realize being a goalie it's easy to dislike an offensive system especially if it means more goals against them as well but I got the vibe that he was pissy and likely said to Pete we won't make it playing an offensive game and that the only we could do it was if we went back to our defensive style.

Gelinas needs to play? CORY needs to play! This is ridiculous, the Flyers are going to give him a gazillion dollars in 2015. Why would he stay to backup a 41 year old when he's in the prime of his career?

If we miss the playoffs I don't think Corey will resign. But Gelinas needs to play too. We need our powerplay to score and our powerplay doesn't score without him.

Truth. I think a lot of people have forgotten what a starting goalie usually plays. They play multiple games in a row, not just 3 and then say switch them they also don't get pulled after every loss. Cory should be the starte, he should play even after a loss (unless he has already lost a few times or has played 10 or so games straight) I hope we use Marty sparingly down the stretch as our best chance is for Cory to get into a grove, not play hot potato and pray both goalies win.

I think everyone knows that Larsson, Gelinas and Merril all deserve to play on this team and are ready to. I just don't get why they just don't let them. It's kind of amazing how much this whole Brodeur thing is effecting decisions.

Yea it's been a while since we have seen him has it not? It's amazing how long some of these guys will go with out a game. Must suck just practicing and never getting any in game experience.

The only reason I care is because if Marty splits 50/50 with Cory the rest of the way and Cory doesn't resign I'll be pissed. You are a team who trades for a player who is pissed about backing up but has said most of the right things about this situation, you make him split just about 50/50 making it hard to get into any sort of grove ( for either guy ) and then when he finally starts to take over you go back to having 2 starters he will be pissed.
