Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Day: Feb 28 vs Minnesota, Kesler Denies Rumour
As trade rumours around Ryan Kesler continue to swirl, the Vancouver Canucks prepare for an important game on Friday night against the Minnesota Wild. - Carol Schram
Everyone denies trade requests unless it's in the off season. How uncomfortable would it be if the deal didn't go down? He still has to go to work everyday with his team mates. |

Dealing him would be best for the franchise, that's the smart thing to do to keep the team in a good position moving forward. |

Agreed. Keep adding extra picks and prospects gradually. The Canucks are good enough that with a few value contracts and reasonable replacement players, they could both rebuild and remain competitive at a gradual pace. |

here is a hockey trade to consider.
Stl
Lou
Kesler
Van

Conditional is if Stl wins SC Canucks gets first. If not it is 2nd.
Stl gets their 2nd line center and a goalie that can win.
Money makes sense for both teams |

Hard to say where his value is though. Kesler would surely warrant a 1st, a prospect and depth player. |

That's fair .....but that Luongo contract is still as terrifying today as it was a year ago.

Everyone has a different opinion on that one here. I think it might be the bane of this tread. No one can truly agree on the Lu contract or what to do about it. |

True. I just don't really see what has changed from a year ago. |

Not much other than another of his big dollar seasons is almost up and the cap is going up soon. |

Fair enough, 1 of them has to go. Edler would probably bring more of a return then Mr.Cinderblock foot though |

I don't think they move Kesler. Maybe at the draft but not now.
Plus I (not a Canuck fan) would not want MG doing the trade! |

Apperantly Burrows asked for a trade at the beginning of the season as well, but no one could understand what he was saying. |

This deal sets the Canucks back not forward. Unless that prospect is Jaden Schwartz I'll hold out for better. |
