Can't see Hiller going to Edmonton unless there are quality players or high draft pick coming back. The Ducks were burned in the past when Bryz was dumped by Burke and ended up in Phoenix. He turned a doormat team into a playoff contender. I can't see Bob Murray letting that happen again. If Hiller goes, it'll be to Carolina or Nashville.

Yes, he still is the one who negotiates the contracts and some other roles as the GM as well. He is still technically the GM but his role is very reduced and Roy is in charge of trades and Sakic gets the final say on anything and everything.

Can't believe there is a single Devils rumor out there like they are just happily content with being pretty damn bad and not having a first. I just can't sit here and believe they are beginning to look pretty hard to make some big happen....

It'd be a waste for EDM to trade anything of substance for a pending UFA. More than likely he wouldn't re-sign in EDM and the team is so far back that this year's playoffs may already be realistically out of reach.

Agree, which is ANOTHER reason this rumor makes no sense. Besides, Edmonton is a weird place. Where else can you suck this bad for four years and still sell the building out. If people are going to show up anyway, why waste assets on a goalie who'll be gone by the end of the year?

Yeah that rumor doesn't make much sense. This isn't a troll comment but thoughts on Bryzgalov as a cheap, free option? He clearly struggled backstopping an open transition team but excelled at another defensive-minded team in PHX.
