He's a lock by default. You mention the A, I'll assume you mean AHL. Per the bullpoop rules, I don't believe Grigorenko can be sent to the AHL. So that leaves Junior or NHL and I seriously doubt he stands to gain much by being sent back to dominate a bunch of 16 and 17 year olds.

The biggest problem with Grigorenko last year was his limited ice time and awful line mates. If the team really is rebuilding, they should let Grigorenko play in the top six with some skilled wingers. That will probably be a better reflection of what he's capable of doing in the NHL as oppose to sticking him on the fourth line with Hecht and Scott.
