I consider Getzlaf to be a "one of a kind" type player. His size skill and grit packaged into a #1 center makes him a much more attactive commodity. Corey Perry is one of my favorite players but wingers come and go. if i were to value them just on their position, i would say an all star center like Getzlaf is more valuable to the organization. Just ask any organization without one |

I think if history tells us anything then a team is only as good as their goal tending, Defense and centers. Perry is a beast and a phenomenal top winger but wingers of his calibre are alot more common than a center like Getzalf.
Personally I think both feed well off one another but at the end of the day if a choice had to be made for just 1 then you'd have to lean towards Getzlaf. |

Makes more sense to move Perry at deadline for nice return unless your moving a cup run. Getz is a #1 centre in the league which is hard to come by. |

Perry might be better, but given the market for a player with Getz's tools, he'll be the much bigger Free Agent commodity. Or, if it comes to it, trade bait. |

Getz. Big sklilled centres are not easy to come by. Letting him walk for nothing would be a big mistake for the Ducks.

Hard to pick just one, but I'd keep Getzlaf as a center especially since the Ducks still have Bobby Ryan as a top line winger. |
