Probably end up being something between our lowball offers and Vancouver fans pie in the sky offers.

I keep hearing Reimer + whenever this is mentioned.

Also heard this morning that the original offer was Luke Schenn... but Gillis wanted Gardiner + (WTF?) I guess you can't blame him for trying.

One idea thrown out there was Reimer + Kadri. I am not so sure how I feel about that. Last year I would have said no, but I am starting to be convinced that this kid will never amount to much.

Gillis is in non-denial denial mode, but what proof does Shannon have? Going by the record the media has on breaking Toronto deals (I think they're 1 for 1,000,000,000, and that's giving them the Schenn deal), I still don't think this is as close as they want it to be.

I said it back in June....... there was really only ONE team that could take on Luongo's contract that NEEDED a goalie.

He was always going to end up with the Leafs, Gillis has tried to pry from the Leafs as much as possible. Burke was not going to give in........ I hope he hasn't.

Something along the lines of a Komisarek, or Connelly along with a 2nd, or a straight up first rounder, being either Colbourne, Kadri, or the first in 2013 (Lottery Protected)
