I'm not sure the "on-ice" product is going to be much better this season, but here's to hoping. What I am excited about is the direction of the franchise, which is building through the draft, there's a lot of be excited about internally with some of these good young players within the system now.

Every team builds through the draft; to some extent. This isn’t a new concept.

Their farm system is nothing special especially when you consider how bad they have been for so long.

Oh Brotha, here we go again. The Phillies and Sixas don't draw squat when they suck cause their fans are frontrunners just like Jimmy Rollins said all those years ago. The Flyers have sucked for a decade and they are still drawing. Only the Flyers and Eagles draw in Philly when they suck. Can you imagine the Sixas and Phillies if they were as bad as the Flyers have been? They'd have to give tickets away just to get the arena/stadium half full. And no, they aren't smarter than Flyers fans. They are frontrunner frauds.

Radio coverage? Angelo Cataldi ruined Philly sports talk radio when he arrived. I haven't listened to them in 10 years. All Eagles all the time. SNORE!!! The Eagles play 17-20 games a YEAR and that's all that they talk about. Think about how repetitive that HAS to be. Again...SNORE! Those stations used to be insightful and funny, and they talked about all 4 teams. Not anymore. Oh, the Phillies are the only team playing and they are competitive, so we'll talk about them until the Beagles start. Boring!!! I used to be a huge Eagles fan, but I got sick of hearing about them! There are plenty of venues to get good hockey info and the Flyers have handled this off season just the way that I thought they would. Go Flyers!!
