We receive zero inspiration from either owner or management. Peterka deal represented dealing for need but nothing spectacular, not flipping picks with Utah made the optics bad. We overpay Bryson and Quinn to stay and Samuelsson is still in the team with an A on his shirt, must stand for Absent. Again zero inspiration, zero excitement, zero playoffs |

Damn not only are the sabres dead. So is hockeybuzz sabres.
So crazy to see the changes to the fanbase since creating an user id here.
My predictions: Lyon and either one of Kuraly or Kunin. |

Byram trade incoming!? Offer sheet!? Would be nice if they found a way to make Jason Robertson a Sabre. Disappointed as per usual. |

Eric Staal joining the Sabres management team. Maybe he can convince a brother or 2 to come on over.

Can anyone tell me exactly why you think the Sabres didn't qualify Bernard-Docker ? Detroit just signed him for peanuts on a 1 year deal as a potential 3rd pairing defenseman. Thoughts ? opinions ? Wondering what to expect from this player. |

I dunno...I watched him play while we were already effectively out of playoff contention, and of course we were playing pretty well. He talked like he was grateful for a bigger chance than he got in Ottawa, he put up good numbers in a few games...nothing flashy, blocks shots. My only guess is they thought he was redundant due to Samuellson filling the same role as a 3rd pair stay-at-home guy. I woulda signed B-D and got rid of Samuellson (any way possible) in a heartbeat, but I suspect they wanted a puck-mover for the 3rd line and saw something in Timmins that BD does not bring. Timmins does have some decent fancy stats, too, so I am personally not losing sleep over it. |

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking the biggest reason he was signed by Detroit is because he was cheap and probably an upgrade over Holl or Gustauffson for Detroit (both are awful). I'm also assuming the Wings were looking for B-D to help improve the Wings' terrible penalty kill... (last in the league).
