Winnipeg signing Toews surprises me. Last fall I was included in a group invited to watch him skate. Fortunately, I was overseas and did not attend. I spoke with some who did and all made comparisons to Patrick Kane two years prior - 3rd line motivation on rebuilder, spare pare parts on a contendor.

The Jets must have seen something others missed. Rumors indicate a 1 year contract inclusive of extreme bonuses, with a contract totalling almost $7 million if bonuses are achieved. There are no personal measures on bonuses other than games played. Playing (or a healthy scratch) for just 60 games, will earn Toews almost $5 million, even if he doesn't produce a single point.

So what gives here, are posters going to be continually banned for no reason at all? Is this sites intent to have no one posting in any blogs? There needs to be some sort of explanation with these indiscriminate bans.
