Sean, where do you get the idea that Pickard is done for the series? All I've heard is that he's out for tonights game and is day to day. - Oildrum
Per Dreger he is out at least a week. |

I mean that whole team especially in the first played the best hockey of the year IMO.
PK, faceoffs, hitting, takeaways, limiting giveaways, amazing saves. Team was on fire last night.
Didn't know what to expect out of Stecher and Kapanen coming in, yet somehow Stetcher comes in and plays a top 4 role and Kapanen comes in and plays the 6th most minutes as a forward. Both doing very well.
Plus it was nice to see Hill do is best Binnington impression and get himself rattled |

Who was that team last night? I think one thing I am impressed about was the last 3 minutes of 6-5, the Oilers not even letting in one. |

Dominant win last night! Wow! Only thing the Knights won was that fight, Frederic took a couple there. |

Haha ya that was a bit of a one sided tilt, Frederic kinda just looked like a punching bag lol

I don't think he knew what was happening at first
For a guy that should already have a broken nose, he sure can take a punch.
Hague did need to go to dressing room though, so Frederic did land some decent ones at least |

I didn’t see any land although the announcer kept saying it was going back and forth. Hague probably had to get his hand looked at after landing so many on Frederic.
Last night was probably the best game I’ve ever watched these new Oilers play. And now, word is Ekholm is getting close. - K-man25
Nah Hague was cut, could see under his nose.
I think part of what kept the motor running yesterday was Skinner making some half ass decent saves. There is no data to prove anything, but the team seems to get down on themselves when Skinner would let goals in at time throughout the year. Yesterday it was as if they saw him make some decent saves and just kept that momentum going their way. Even going shorthanded, no one seemed to shy away from the game plan.
Also, where you hear that on Ekholm? Although after last night I'm in no real panic to make adjustments to the lineup
Couple days ago I was just hoping he'd be back soon |

It was an article on daily hive. I guess I should be more specific, he won’t play this series but is skating with the team and working hard to get back. |

I'd honestly like to know just how messed up he is to not be in the lineup. Guy fights through a lot, so I can't imagine what he's going through to have missed so much time. |

Ekholm's return will be the new "Corey Perry is turning 40 in a couple weeks" where you hear the "couple weeks" timeline for 3 months
Though depending on what it is and how well he can come back and actually be Ekholm, why mess with stuff too much |

Sounds like he is just doing some light skates from what I read last night.
Gregor also mentioned that he *could* return round 3 and that the timeline really hasn't changed from what he heard before the playoffs.
Guys doing light skates or skates in general is very vague though. |

Let's get past Vegas first. Would be nice to finish them off tonight and get the players some extra rest. I hope Dallas Winnipeg go 6 or 7 games.
