Like asking the players to arrive in Vancouver mid August to start skating together.
They've only been off since early April, got to get those last few weeks in before their 5 month summer ends. Dedication, culture, structure, team... - Marwood
so true. I miss the days of Brian Burke as he seemed to hold his players accountable to fellow teammates, the team, the city, and the fans. If a player showed any sort of disinterest, he was driven to the airport immediately.
Say what you will about Burkie, but his teams were always 100% committed. |

Tyler Motte? Don’t we already have a team full of Tyler Motte types? I was under the impression that we are overloaded on low-level talent.

Didn't some people cry when they traded Motte? |

Was Comtois on that Canadian World Junior team implicated in that sex scandal. If so, it might explain why he is not signed yet. |

I could see them having interest in ZAR, Motte and Edler.
Team Swedican.

Edler on a PTO to play bottom pair would be fine imo, good for the room too. |

Maybe the Sedins can come back too. |

They're coaching the power play, from home. |

It’s definitely dependent on if can hack it. I didn’t see many L.A. games myself to judge. |

I wouldn’t mind seeing Ol Edler back on a PTO as well.
If he’s done and plays like a steaming pile of Aaron, no worries. |

Why would Edler who, by the time he left, was vilified because he was slow and useless and was responsible for a ton of PP chances against us want to even sign a PTO with us? We just got rid of a a slow, useless Swedish defenseman in OEL, why would we want to replace him with an older, slower and more useless version? |

I’m not too worried about speed on the bottom pair. You’re here for defensive zone starts and penalty kill at that point. Schenn is a good example of how you don’t need speed on the bottom pair. |

Schenn played a lot of his time with Hughes. He also fought. Edler does not fight.
If you are trying to improve the team then Edler Motte and any other ex Canuck is not the answer.
If I was the Canucks handing out PTO's and I don't think they need to (lots of competition from the farm) I would choose Khaira ,Parise, (under 2 mil)
