Great game. Great win.
It was good to see us get a win when Pekka seamed a bit off kilter last night. Hossa is a great shooter but neither of those goals would have gone in on a normal night against Pekks.
It will be interesting to see how Chicago responds with us on the back to back this week....our boys better be ready for the kitchen sink to be thrown at them. |

No not really it is the same team with a super coach and the same results come playoff time. This is still the Hawks Canucks and Sharks thing to lose with the Blues coming for nowhere that is the team to watch very close. |

We are still that grinding team but getting more of a shoot the puck and ask questions later mentality which is long overdue.
If we can pull in that one "Scorer" piece we all have been dreaming of for the last few years (heck, since the beginning), I think you can say we are coming of age.
As a franchise we are there....no doubt. Sold out virtually every night and should be the remainder of the season, people get the game, and the buzz around town is high..we just need a piece of two in the player puzzle to put this team over the top as a franchise. Starts with Weber and Suter. |

That was a fun game to watch last night!! Props to Blackhawks fans for a great showing, but even bigger props to Prednation for making it loud last night! Kostitsyn continues to make me say "WOW!" each night. It's incredible how good he has played as of late. |

Goaltending could do you in though. Last night I know is not a great indicator after the travel issues etc, but Crawford is just about sub .900 and that wont win championships. You add Howard and Detroit in this mix as well. Howard is playing lights out right now and doesn't look to be slowing down.
Here is reality. The West is a monster. The top 8 are barely separated in points and position changes on any given night. No team in the group is hands down better than the other. Come playoff time, the west is anyone's shot. |

Sometimes it was hard to hear those fans over the rustling fabric of their crisp, brand new jerseys[i
What is the injury update on The Cube? Suter? Blum going to get the call up?
Hopefully the All-Star break will provide some rest for those guys.
Hossa seems to always play well against the Predators. |

The sad part is they rank in the upper half of the league in scoring but they don't have that "sexy" name scoring goals. That's what Suter and Weber want, a name. Completely absurd. Top 5 power play and now top 10 PK but that just doesn't play. Preds trade for Jason Blake?!?!? God, what a joke, that better be total BS, another midget forward is the last thing we need. Hemsky or better yet Malone. The Yip deal is actually one I like. Don't like seeing Halischuk sit but the mentality is right I think. |

plus hes old and a rental. we need younger, bigger if he isnt a top notch scorer. while i kind of agree on the suter/weber thing, we arent built to win in the playoffs. waaaaay to small and while balanced scoring is good we just dont match up against good defensive teams. |

Malone would be the dream answer IMO. Poile spends some money, gets a "Poor Man's" Joe Thornton, shows Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb that he's serious about "winning now" and he might be able to pull it off doing it with Blum, a prospect and a decent pick? IDK..? |

TB 13th in the East - pretty much continuing to fall further out of the PO picture.

Great game by our D-men, big time effort by every one of them!

And with only 5 d-men for 2nd & 3rd periods. Klein our 2nd most experienced on ice for that time. I said last night I bet Weber played 30 minutes. Actual time was 29:08 - he was a solid workhorse, along with all his teamates. There were no slackers. Please, please maintain this pace Preds! It is achievable.
Great crisp jersey reference Paul!!!
(Btw, Kliener's fluke goal was Pred's 2nd of the night.) |

i think he is a good add if he isnt ridiculously expensive. he has 3 years left @ 4.5 mil so we need to ask ourselves does he fit in going forward. that would llikely make him more expensive as well. also he has a career high 51 points ( on a much higher skilled team). while he would add some size and grit and a good net presence im not sure another 40 something point guy for 4.5 mil thats 32 years old is what we want going forward. i would like him alot more as a rental. also doubt he sways suter or weber. |

Got his feet twisted up on that rush. But after all, it was an extremely gifted player causing the issue. Hossa's moves can reach the "Wow!" level. |

He beat an elite d-man and an elite goalie. That was just a good hockey play by a good hockey player.
I liked the speed by Josi to out skate Hossa, who is a very good skater, even though he did not score it was a good play. I don't think Blum could make that play. |

Was in 302 as my b-day present last night... the "crispy jersey" was in full effect up there. Almost had my own version of a hat trick last night - great birthday, great game, and a fight with a Hawk fan d-bag. One of the most utterly idiotic people I've been around, then he threatens me with physical violence. Almost stuck around to give him my own Smashville welcome.
Otherwise it was an awesome game. |

Of course most of the hawks fans were "band-wagon-ers." If they weren't, why was this nifty little number written? Huh?
