Nice to see Amadio back. Good addition for depth on this team after a lengthy injury.
Chabot is out day to day, so not long term. But wow, did that look nasty. I wouldn't be surprised to see Klevin get more ice time over Sebrango.
Not sure if Merilainen is starting tonight. I hope he is starting. |

Rasmus Andersson for Ridly Greig? - K-man25
Can you explain me why Calgary / you want to trade Rasmus Anderson - what are his weaknesses? I'm aware of his strengths |

I've actually read in several areas that Calgary may be looking to get him re-signed.

Calgary should be rebuilding, trying to get younger. Greig fits that Rasmus is on a great contract for 2 more years, he brings a lot to the team and will be missed but the Flames have some decent D prospects that need a spot. Calgary is trading from a position of strength.
All the talk about resigning him is just to bump the price. We saw last year that the Flames sold off Hanifin, Tanev and Zadorov and it really hasn’t had a negative effect.
When the Flames are relative again, RA will be in his 30’s, take the picks or player and run. |

Regardless of the availability. There are 2 issues with the trade.
1) Cap room ... out with Greig and in with Andersson is not enough. Ottawa doesn't have the available cap room. Besides, we have 4 more years of control over Greig, and only 1 more year for Andersson after which time I believe he becomes a UFA.
2) On the right side we already have Zub and Jensen. Andersson is too good and expensive (at $4.55 million) to be a 3rd pairing d-man. Zub at $4.6 and Jensen at $4 would make it a very expensive right side. It also means we would effectively block Yakemchuk from making the Sens next season, which may not be a bad thing.
Overall, he is probably the type of player Ottawa may want, but would require too much assets to obtain.

Rasmus would become the top right D for the Sens, Yakemchuk will take time to claim that spot.
Ottawa could send a cap dump back as welll but that would up the price. |

I like Cody Ceci has a cheaper option. Also former Sen and would fit perfectly with Tyler Kleven |
