If a trade does occurs, I hope TK is involved and we keep our #12. I get the desire to move up to get a potential 1D in the draft but I also want that #12. There will be a good player there and I am not willing to give up the moon for 5 places.
My dream trade with OTT:
PHI: TK (50% retained), Laughton, Zamula (or Attard), #32 in 2024, and 2nd in 2025
OTT: Chychrun, Pinto, and #7 |

The Sens GM would be fired immediately for making that deal, lol. |

Was PLD or Kuemper on the roomer chart? Seems to have been a surprise. If the Caps wanted a center this bad they could have just gone for Marchessault, Teravainen, Reinhart, etc...
- Cooleus
I wonder why Flyersbuzz doesn't have anything on the rumored Chychrun + 7th for Konecny + 12th swap? |

It’s all about player value which is determined by a combo of position, talent and contract status.
Pinto might be relatively equivalent to Konecny, TK would probably be considered the better player but Pinto is younger, plays a more valuable position and has the more attractive contract status.
But even if Ottawa is ok with that part of the deal, there is no way the Sens are parting with a top 4 D and 7OA for an extremely late 1st, a borderline 3rd line forward, a 2nd and a 6/7 Dman. |

I joked yesterday…Probably Atkinson and a 7th rnd pick for a 6th…lol.
My hope is it’s for the 7th and somehow they keep 12. Might be a pipe dream but if it involves a move up I’m at least glad DB is being aggressive. Love the idea of building culture…but what are the Flyers? Bad team good Culture? They need a serious infusion of talent…talent often found at the top of drafts. (Unless you’re Ron Hextall) ….(I kid) |

Goodness, we can’t agree that TK is equal to Pinto. With that opinion I want nothing to do with a second round pick that has played a total of 120 NHL games between injuries, being sent down and a major suspension. Here are his stats, I can’t agree they are of equal value. If OTT thinks so too, I’m out on the player.

With the disputed trade held up by the NHL, the Flyers selected Ryan Sittler with the seventh overall pick of the Draft. The Flyers had not anticipated making the pick, which was part of the package of assets they'd agreed to trade to the Nordiques.
That ended up being such a crazy bad trade for the Flyers despite how good Lindros was, with how controlling his parents were, how much the team was forced to lean on him after trading away so much in the trade, and how little the team cared about Lindros's physical well-being with the medical treatment of players still a concern to this day.
What i didn't remember, is that the Flyers 7th overall pick, Ryan Sittler, never suited up for the Flyers while Chris Simon played 15 years which makes it even worse.

The Flyers may lack talent, but they not a bad team, not by a long shot. I'm with you though, DB needs to be aggressive in this draft and get a top player. I hope the Flyers can keep 12 also because I really want the Flyers to draft Solberg too!

The Kings GM is a worse GM than Fletcher. The Kings basically traded Vilardi, Iafallo, Kupari and a 2nd for Kuemper. |

It's not Christmas time. So you want to give up 1 piece TK for #7 and 2 solid established NHL PLAYERS??? Time to wake up from that dream. |

It would make sense with a pick swap of 7 and 12 and if the Flyers then move Sanheim. Still think something goes down with Winnipeg with as much time each spent scouting each other last season. Sanheim may wave to go there to be closer to home and a chance to play for a better team. |

I always like to dream of what it would have been like had they traded Brind'Amour instead and had a 1/2 punch of Lindros/Forsberg down the middle. Oh the cups we may have won. |

You don't know that. If the Sens are trading out of 7, most likely its because they don't want any more young players they need to wait to develop, but instead want NHL vets that can move their team forward. I would think Laughton + Farabee + 32th pick + Atkinson(50% retained) should get back the 7th pick plus more. |

Fun fact, the Flyers chose Jason Bowen with their second 1st at #15 that same year they picked Sittler.
Denis Metluk at #31
The list goes on. An epic bad draft year for them with only 2 players getting in any NHL games (Bowen 77), and Chris Herperger (#223 169 games none with the Flyers) |

Think about it you want to give Laughton who is a dime a dozen player that overpaid, Sens can pick up a similar UFA player for nothing, Farabee who is a decent prospect but nothing more, the 32nd pick in a weak draft and a worthless Atkinson for #7 plus more?? Why not throw in ND and ask for their 2025 1st also. Be realistic |

You'd actually have to try to be as bad as the Flyers. I think they'd have better luck throwing darts at the board. |

In hindsight I would have just let the Rangers have 88.
A team with Foppa, Brindy and all the pieces Quebec received would probably have had a better chance. |
