I think Veleno's a good match for Cat & Kane on the 2d line. He's NOT the complete player that JT is, but his game is so much more improved over any other period in his career. May not be the ideal situation, but adds a bit of a different dimension.

SJ is tricky, nothing to lose and everyone to embarrass, so they can afford to let it all hang out. That makes them very dangerous. Screwing around or taking a knee during this game could see the Wings down several goals. Losing JT makes it even more important to kick the tires & light the fires....and NOT let off the gas.

Lyon. Lyon. Why not Lyon? Yes, Reimer needs reps but he's now is the same boat Lyon was in for the frst 15 or so games of the season....Husso needs a head check and a directed effort to refine his game. He shows flashes of brilliance then falls off the proverbial cliff. At near $5m per season, he needs to unscrew his game.....

Liam Foudy on waivers. Take a flyer on the kid or no???

I'm just hoping Kane looks comfortable out there and still has his speed and mobility. May take a few games to get his timing / shooting / passing game back. Hopefully the Wings will score first and early in the game and get the crowd into it. Will seem kind of weird seeing Zadina in a Sharks jersey.

Agree that Lyon should have gotten the start by default. Anyone whose seen the games can see he's been better than either Husso or Reimer. Maybe he'll get the start on Saturday against Ottawa.

It must be nice to be on a team where 90% of your teammates would clear waivers any day of the week, but you get to occasionally play a team like Detroit where you can score at will.

What rhe literal HECK is going on?!?!?!?!? How in the world does a team cough up TWO shorties on the SAME PP?!?!?!? Get Husso OUT!!! NOW!! For the love all things hockey, dump Husso. Trade Holl or waive him, same with Husso....Ghost got beat 2-on-1 because Holl forgot to disconnect the trailer so he could skate tonight. Good Lord. This is simply embarrassing. Disappointing play. They've GOT to re-group.

I said it above, they've got to play an ENTIRE game, the entire game. From what I saw, the guys started slacking off after Rayzor's goal (sweet goal, by the way). This is what happens when ypu don't have the desire to hammer a team, put your boot on their throat and crush them. That's rhe ONLY way this team could survive IF they were to make the SCPO.

Disgusting play.

Agreed MC...just unreal, had the feeling early on the Wings could loose 1-0 or 2-1 then they opened the scoring, which opened the flood-gates. 4-0 should have been a lock for the win BUT then Husso started doin' Husso things and it's suddenly a last shot wins type of game. Was really hoping maybe a goalie change for the third as Husso just doesn't seem to be able to make that big save when needed...no such luck.

Good grief what a $hitshow.

What little hope I had for Husso is now completely gone. He should have gotten pulled after the 4th goal. He always gets scored on when there's a breakway. How many of those have we seen this season? His lateral movement is CRAP. He doesn't control his rebounds. That should be his last start for a while. He's not the only reason they lost tonight... but he was a part of the problem. He could have stopped both of the first two goals they let in. Especially the first one.

Wings got embarrassed and they deserve it. How many lessons does this team gotta learn to play a full 60 minutes and not implode as soon as the other team starts scoring.

Yeah, Husso looked lost out there, but the collapse was team-wide. They took their foot off the gas when they went up 4-0, then the wheels fell off and it was too big of an ask for them to recover and take charge of the flow of the game. The OT was a slap in the face.

This loss is going to sting. Defnders didn't, the team sat on ther haunches, took a "lowly" team for granted n got slapped around for being lazy. That was a lazy team, playing a lazy game. Kane looked good, but what type of an impression did the TEAM make on Kane? If I was him, I'd already be wondering if I made the correct decision.

Dumpster fire. Embarrassing. Massively disaapointing.
