I honestly can’t say. The presser combined with some really bad Dzone flubs in the last game seemed to indicate that Ghost may be “watching and gaining perspective” tonight. We’ve seen players pulled to try and help them reset, but I’m not sure that’s the case.

As for Fabbri, I haven’t heard anything but i don’t think it would come as a shock. I think it was the first NYR goal that saw Fabbri completely flat footed as Trochek went right around him. I thought it was just rink rust, but as the game progressed it could be entirely possible that something early on got “tweaked”. I’m sure we’ll here more on which hemisphere of the body contains the affliction (if applicable)

Natural inclination is to put it on cruise when you're up 5-buzz. Montreal depends on "great" goaltending to get points. Early goals cause them to cave.

I won’t disagree on teams laying off after a big lead, but you also saw the bottom 6 start skating and hitting harder. Klim started using his body, Ras just got mad enough to spin and shoot the puck etc. early goals for Detroit could help a lot, early goals against very similar story. They seem to fade a bit. At some point they have to make the decision to skate harder out of the gate and sustain attack for any chance at a glimpse of hockey after the regular season
