I'd pass. It's all about ranges of skill sets in the roster mix.

Another Eklund special. Trying to figure out why either team would make the trade.

Pinto is not much of a play maker, more of a shoot first guy….Frost is more of a playmaker. The Flyers have Frost under contract and Pinto’s seems to be looking for more $ or wants out as looking at their lineup I don’t see him in the top 6. It appears they like Ridley Craig more. I think the Flyers need to role with Frost this year….we have guys that are more shoot first such as Tippet and Foerester with Gauthier coming late in the year….the Flyers need a young puck distributor and Frost fits that mold…at least to me.
Unless there’s more under the surface going on I think it’s a step sideways at best.

I agree with you for the most part. The problem is, I think Torts would value Pinto more. If I'm Ottawa, I don't trade Pinto and most certainly not for Frost. If I'm the Flyers, I make the trade but I hesitate in doing so. What makes Pinto appealing is he's younger than Frost, has size, strength, ability to work in traffic, good skater and of course his shot. As you pointed out, Frost isn’t just a playmaker. I think he’s our ONLY playmaking forward. I’m almost positive Pinto needs a playmaker to set him up. If we had more guys who could dish, I’m probably packing Frost’s bags for him.

Yup, just Ek tossing poop at a wall and calling it art. Guy is a joke.

Did the Flyers acquire Byfuglien yet?

I only saw the first period of last nights game, but it was hard to not be disappointed by what I saw. Sure would be nice to have a player look like he wants to score goals. I don’t know if they’re all afraid of making a mistake or what? They had a couple of pps in a row in the first and no one looked like they wanted to shoot. There was a sequence were Grans and a forward passed the puck back and forth like six times until they were so backed out of the zone the puck just popped over the line. I wanted someone to just go for it.

The jerseys suck....i hate the black shoulder numbers and the lack of shoulder and arm piping.......All they had to do is take the 80s/Lindros style...

Keep this in mind, too. Pinto got off to a fantastic start and was NHL Rookie of the Month last October (six goals, seven points in eight games) but it was his most productive month of the season. He had 28 points over the rest of the season.

Frost went the other way. Rough first 26 games, Flyers top scorer the rest of the season.

I undoubtedly expect more from playmakers. They normally make everyone around them better with their creativity. In the case of Frost, I’m not a hater but what’s suppose to make him special is taking too long to come together. So if he’s not producing offensively or making big plays, he’s not offering much. I still have visions of Kyle Okposo just swallowing Frost away like a fly.

Instead they based the inspiration off the original 1967-68 jerseys with black numbers and no piping. The horror!

Comical to see complaints that Frost is taking too long when last season was Frost's first full NHL season at age 23.

Flyer-for-life Scott Laughton had 20 points his his 23 year old season.

Probably Laughton gets moved this year around TDL, so no on the Flyer for Life.

DB better be working the phones hard this year he has a lot to trade, and this draft class is heavy heavy on defensemen. IF we can get another pick in a trade I would like at least 2 1st round picks to go towards defensemen 3rd pick Best available.

Flyers to be traded this season in me eyes,

Atkinson
TK
Laughton
farabee
Walker
Staal
Seeler
Hart

ones harder to move,

Coots- trade with Boston next year after they lose out on Lindholm/Schefiele
Sanheim- trade with either Flames or Jets makes sense.

players that won't make the team and need to be sent down or traded,

Allison
Lyz
Zamula
Sandstrom
Peterson

They are a wish come true for the knockoff makers; the numbers were always their worse feature... and an easy tell that they were fake. This makes their job so much easier, and TBH good for those who like to go with the fakes... but for fans who appreciate hockey sweaters, those numbers are an abomination. Lack of piping is also hard to take. If the Flyers listen to the fans, they can easily tweak them to a decent product, as soon as it is possible under the NHL Uniform Guidlines -- the recent return to the two center-ice logos gives me some hope that the current Flyers regime may be open to restoring past changes that were ill-conceived... Could a Kate Smith Statue resurrection now be possible?

I would not look to trade Farabee. Don't be surprised if Peterson makes the team and Ersson is sent down.
