In all seriousness he has to work to make the team he's no given. 3 of the bottom 6 is open(Carter, Accari,Eller in)And the third pair defense is open. |

Tatar wasn't realistic with Carter on the roster. You can't fit $1.5M when you have $46k in cap space. |

Pitlick will be the next 4th liner "throw in" in a massive trade for a stud like Dupuis was with Hossa...
...book it. |

If he doesn't have a grade A camp he will be sent down mostly for the cap space. I'd add Nieto and DOC to the list of guys pretty much set in the roster so that means just 2 more forward spots and just 1 starter in the bottom 6. |

No, I think Nylander is going to ask for at least 2mill more than Jake on his next deal and the Pens don't have that much space moving forward. |

Doesn't fit the bill of all our bad players for their best player, so no.
Once Lars Eller crashes and burns this year, it'll be
Eller, Pitlick, DOC, Gruden + 1st + 3rd for Nylander.

I can poke my head out of it here and there in the offseason....
...especially when it comes to comments on 4th liner/potential replacement level players hahaha |

It’s going to be really interesting to see if Dubas and Sullivan actually have a plan for this defensively responsible bottom six, Or Sullivans going to run any potential success into the ground with miss matched lines and zero plan for how that line is supposed to play. |

Yeah, we need to know who our bad contracts are first. I'll guess one or both of our goalies + any $5M-or-more players with injury problems + whoever on NHL-only contracts we bury in the AHL should net us Nylander. |

The big 3 are exempt, but if Rak breaks his leg, trade him for Nylander. |

I don't think Dubas is done, he couldn't do everything in one off season. He's going to want to at least create a third scoring line. Carter does not fit the bill of any defensive line so that's automatically out the window for at least one of the lines. I think they can make a defensive line around Eller though. |

I mean, I would offer up some sort of deal involving Rust. We just don't have enough of the + to get it done. Unless Toronto gets desperate. |

I was going to add the same two guys. I think Eller, Acciari, Nieto and DOC are in the lineup. Carter is on the roster. Last 2 spots open and both third line wings are open. (Assuming a healthy roster which we don't have.)
The fact that Eller, who was a questionable signing, is our only locked in third liner shows how thin this team is. |

I think Nieto is the most likely guy out of the non-locks to make the roster when healthy but a non-lock nevertheless. I have Nieto, Nylander, Pitilick, Johnsson, Hinostroza in that order fighting for the last two spots with Poulin, Puustinen, Zohorna, and Koppanen as the long shots. |
