Mtl was also able to dump Hoffman’s $4.5 mil. Must think they can still get some value out of Petry. Shrewd getting the 2nd rounder in 2025, projected to be a bit deeper than 2024.
SJ still in cap hell with too many long, bad contracts. Going nowhere anytime soon, and a struggle to see any light at the end of the tunnel yet.
Great regular season trade for Pitt, but will be tissue paper soft in the playoffs. Could be fixed at the trade deadline, but the asset cupboard is pretty bare. |

Surprised no one has mentioned the fact Hoffman AND Karlsson were both involved in the trade. Also 2nd time Hoffman has been traded to the Sharks...they will be linked forever. |
