Yeah but did they consult with the hockeybuzz red wings bullies? They tell us what to think not the experts or people who get paid to do their profession. Internet beta boys rule this domain!

For what it’s worth, I’m going to be looking at Kasper, Edvinsson (once healthy) and Mazur. Just want to see how they’re doing. I’d love to see Cossa have a good pre season. Excited to see the cat out there

This narrative is getting old. If you truly believe this maybe look for a different hockey sight that fits your preferences as you are obviously not happy here. Life is too short.

Why even post on this thread if you're so miserable here. You're sounding like a broken record. It's getting really old. Move on to another thread or at least contribute something that remotely adds to the discussion.

Hey all, unless something else major happens, I’ll keep to my “no updates” on ESPN etc. some headlines hit the screens this morning that they were getting $8/month per sub so losing 40 million - 50 million is a monthly loss of near 1/2 billion. Now there’s a “fire sale” rumor for the entire parent company. I don’t know where this will end but it sounds really bad with 9 days left in the quarter. $12.99 bundle is back but is an ad tier

Kinda reminds me of the old Gordon Lightfoot song "Sundown".......

Wondering how soon the major blows will come. NASCAR just announced that The CW will carry 2d tier races from 25-31. The CW is an over-the-air broadcaster as well as cable & satellite, don't know for sure if it's also a streaming service. But I wonder if this portends to a greater shift? I can't see NHL shifting to this because of lost revenue, but at this point who knows?

GREATLY appreciate the updates on this stuff, Jeremy. No one else is paying as much attention to it as you. That said, I am starting to see some news channels start "hinting" at "revenue issues"......

I heard about the CW move. Part of that moved took broadcasting rights away from 3 non comcast/universal companies. The “price per sub” was announced over the weekend. ESPN was making $8 per subscriber and cable lost 40 million. That’s a lost of 320 million per quarter or 1.2 billion on the year. That one shocked me. The leaks today, while they may play into the business model, they are not immediately relevant. I can say this from when i worked at Comcast, over the air bandwidth is limited. Just like we ran out of phone numbers. When Comcast forces Hulu sale they are said to be removing their content and starting “channel One” (next January). Disney (along with Netflix) now advertising for AI editors who could do up to 500 shows/pieces a week. Salaries as high as 900k. I’m still hoping for a Hail Mary, but it’s not looking great. DirecTV wants to get people off of satellite so they build a streaming version and are now having “failures” which encourage you to look at streaming.
