I'm not moving Zib from his office on the PP.

Problem with the PP is and will continue to be too many passers, not enough shooters.

IMO, the PPs should be:

LAF, Kreider, Zib, Wheeler, Fox
Chytil, Panarin, Trochek, Kakko, Miller/Trouba

Eventhough Miller is a much better skater and puck handler, Trouba without a doubt has a much better shot from the point which at times could be useful.

I think this makes both PP units legit and keeps a good balance of shooters to passers.

Trouba has a bomb, but his accuracy is like Fulton Reed from the point.
Would much prefer Miller be given the opportunity.
If PP1 & PP2 are actually given even playing time, give Miller the first 20 games to QB PP2.

Everytime somebody types a post without Panarin on PP1, an angel laughs about how much of a waste of time that was.

It’s simple

PP1: Kreider Zib Laf Panarin Fox
PP2: Chytil Trocheck Kakko Miller, and Wheeler or Trouba or even Fox logs the full 2 minutes

I would rather have Gustafsson on PP2 over Trouba. Or Miller, or Zac Jones...

Yep I am pretty sure it’s why he is here. He is a powerplay specialist. Almost 99% sure he starts the year running the second unit

I’m not sure they just paid Miller all that money to not be part of the PP tho

I mean I know that Trouba isn't coming out of the line up, that wasn't my angle. But I'm also tired of him missing the net. But it might not matter if PP2 only gets 30 or seconds a game.

Ive said this a lot of times, but the biggest reason why PP1 gets 90 seconds per powerplay is because Adam Fox is so good at keeping the puck in the offensive zone

even if they don't score, they usually keep the puck in the zone the whole time

Pretty much anyone else. How many turnovers did Trouba have on the PP?

It's just a vibe thing, based on no actual stats, but i feel like Trouba just launches his shots into defenders and rarely gets them through

Wonder if Lavy would do Gus and miller at the points, both being LH. Trouba doesn’t need to be on the PP. Miller is too skilled to not be on it, PP2 I mean.

These are good problems to have tho. Having 13-14-15 guys viable of PP time. It just needs to be less predictable, that’s where they lost their way last year. Edmonton runs a different PP every time they get one, they said that during the playoffs, so maybe Peca/Housley can be a wiz with it doing something like that

The "Sthr%"' tab is how often he got his shot through to the net. That was at 55%. I thought it would have been lower than that. But that is hockey refence. Might differ depend on who collects the stats.

remember last week when we started yammering about K'Andre being a target for an offer sheet it actually got him signed

we should do the same thing with Lafreniere so he gets signed, who is a legit chance for a Laf offer sheet?
