Yawn. You went 6-6 last night. Anyone can look that up.
On March 18 you went 9-4, but claimed to go 10-3. Anyone can look that up.
Same thing. Every year. |

FIXED IT to 6-6. THANKS! (Yeh, the other one I already corrected in the overall.). Always good to have others checking! |

Oh sure. Since we have your attention.
How come you say there have been only 3 losing nights. Better check that.
How come the Oilers are projected to play 81 games and finish with 111 points when that is statistically impossible?
How come Toronto is projected to have 18 losses when they already have 19.
There are errors throughout. Why not take 5 minutes and clean up this mess? |

So there is only 3 games tonight, you have picks for 5. 4 of those 5 aren't even real games. |

Tonight’s Picks:
COL W @ AZ
BOS WOT @ CAR
VAN W @ CHI
STL @ LA (W)
NAS @ TOR (W)
Isles must've driven right past Ohio. Can't really blame them, but someone should let them know they have a game there tonight - eichiefs9
They get a W just for driving through the city. No need to dress. |

March 8. Buzztron went 1-2
March 15. Buzztron went 1-3
March 19. Buzztron went 1-3 (only predicted the evening games that day)
March 21. Buzztron went 5-7
*claims to have only 3 losing nights
Amazing that the Buzztron is so advanced to predict all of these games but struggles with the simple task of adding winners and losers |

Could be an L, depending on how close Columbus is to wherever that Norfolk-Southern train derailed. I don't care enough about Ohio to look it up. |

A TON of games tonight! According to EK! 😁 |
|
|
|
Based on the standings, you can basically figure out Ek's picks without him even making them.
He has Colorado finishing the season 11-1. Pretty sure the single loss isn't being predicted for tonight against Arizona. So Col (W).
He has NJ finishing 4-4-3 versus Buffalo at 8-1-3. So I'm guessing he picks BUF for the W tonight, probably in OT.
NYI is finishing 7-2-1 vs Columbus at 1-9-2. Seems like an NYI win.
So Buzztron will come back and predict that:
Col (W)
Buf (WOT)
NYI (W)
Haha. |

Does anyone know of a website where we could see the numbers for simply picking the team higher in the standings to win?
I’m wondering how that method would compare to the Buzztron2000. |

Bingo. I've said this from the beginning. If you're merely picking the winner, then just selecting the favourite each night will easily exceed 50%. You can search some research on this relating to Vegas odds. But 60% is a number that is frequently used. However, there are often games where the teams are very close (ie there is no statistically significant favourite). If you take those games between "equals" and apply some basic logic, you can increase the odds to 70%
What logic? OK. Two "equal" teams...pick the home team, pick the rested team. Done. Now you get close to 70%.
Unfortunately, you don't make much money betting this way. Ek had an earlier comment about how he hoped readers were making money off of his success rate. Nope. When you mostly pick favourites and hit at 60-70%, you're barely breaking even.

Hate to say it but honestly Calgary has a ton of ground to make up 9 games and 6 point spread? Think it is more can Nashville catch the Jets really there.
