Has term, younger, would be a nice add however the acquisition cost is too high. AZ isnt budging off it and Francis isnt going to blow all our assets like that. |

I’d like to see that. Kraken are having a nice year. Go win a playoff round or two. The West is super weak. No reason to think they can’t pull off a few surprises. |

Kraken could make a similar trade like Nyqvist to get LTIR cap space. |

If the price comes down I think Seattle is a good spot for him. However if the price is down some there will be competition. |

Exactly. Its a tough one to make without overpaying. Seattle is having a great season but why overpay here? No reason at all to move our top prospects or major picks when we are still building the team and our depth/prospect pool.
Honestly if we want to add at low cost hit up Toronto and offer back their 2nd for one the shopped dman from Washington. I just dont think Francis is going to do a whole lot at all. Going to be a case of let it ride and enjoy the success with the guys that brought you to the dance. If anything I see moves in the offseason. |

Happy that Francis has been patient so far. It’s stupid to pay 3 for 1 for a team that isn’t on the cusp of challenging for the cup. Keep the draft picks, play your heart out, make the playoffs or not, it’s fine. |

Very big and needed win. Goaltending continuing to be the achillies geel but tonight Gru was on and came up big. Going to be a nailbiter in the standings right to the end it seems. |

Stood pat. Not at all surprised by it there. Rather glad actually

Yup, now let the playoff drive continue. With how bad the Flames are playing, they could probably go .500 down the stretch and still make it
Edit - just looking at the standings, assuming the Kraken hold on to beat Columbus, in their remaining 20 games if they go 10-10-0 they finish with 96pts. To catch them the Flames would need to go 14-5-1 in that same span, just to tie, so 15-5-0. |

A few bad defensive breakdowns, but overall a good game. |

Offence carries them through and Gru came up when needed tonight. Last couple games he has really played well. Team sorely needed it too.
We are in a good spot and just need to win more than lose down the stretch really.
McCann with 30 with the tally tonight too |

Krak could have added to make a playoff run but they seem content to just get in.
Maybe that’s better in the long run. Then again, there will be more competition for playoff spots, in future seasons, as teams improve around them. |

Well staying in the middle is much smarter for the treadmill cup building. |

Maybe if their gamble pays off. Though they do seem to have the Krak’s number. |

Canuck fans have said that this is the year every year for a decade. Every team has an opportunity to look back at their season and make changes in the summer.
Literally every team had Seattle’s number last year. We’ll see how things shake out over the next decade. |

Heres the big thing. Making an add would have been nice but look at the massive arms race and overpayments. No way was a big name ufa coming in. Its the old afage of careful what you wish for.
Short term who is leaving to make the cap work? How much was it going to impact a tight knit group on a real tear this season?
Now add in the fact this is only year two. We have precious little depth in Coachella let alone in the prospect pool. And how we stock that is through the draft. Seattle does remain rife with picks. If this was two seasons further on? Different story maybe you spend a few picks. Not at all now.
Francis was patient and made the right call here. Let these guys as a team have a taste. Keep building and adding. Some decisions coming up will have to be made but thats for the offseason.
Nah, no overspending and trying to make some cinderella run was the right thing to do here. |

That’s not what was said but no worries it’s all good in Krak land. |

If you aren’t buying then you should be selling as standing still leaves you in the mushy middle. |

Why would they sell? Flush with draft picks as is and lack of prospects and depth. Dont want to take on bad contracts and player dumps.
Sorry you seem to be forgetting we are an expansion team in year 2.
We have a good team doing well and we are enjoying the ride here. Now is NOT our cup window. Yes we are mid range. Great part is we got everyone elses picks added so we really can sit back develop and grow here. |
