I don't recall Ek ever linking Ottawa to Chickenrun, so quite possible. |

Meier and Chychrun to Stl 🤞🏾. Keep those two away from the East plz! Especially don’t want Bos, NJ, TB or CAR getting either of them
STL trades Barbashev and one of Parayko/Krug. Then uses the asserts acquired in the Tarasenko, ROR, Barbashev, Parayko/Krug trades to acquire Meier and Chy. Retool complete. Doable… |

Trade Krug. He can’t stay healthy. Trade Parayko he’s too damn soft and cannot hit the net with that booking shot of his. Normally just hits his own players |

Maybe they are making room for DeBrincat also?
Should be interesting. |

100% likely.
Sens have ZERO pro scouting acumen. They'll gladly fork over assets to St.Louis to take a broken down over paid Parayko off their hands. So that the Blues can turn around and be better. |

That's my take.
Now PD needs to find a team to take Chabot off his hands if he throws in this year's unprotected first plus Pinto and Greig and that will free up the money he will need to sign DeBrincat to the massive contract he so richly deserves. |

I never liked Parayko, even when they won the Cup. Thought he made a ton of bad d-zone choices and turned a whole lot of pucks over. Good player, but vastly overrated. |

Honestly I think his height is the only advantage he has. He is a good skater so he is quick with gap closure and can force people towards the boards. Plenty of dumb mistakes in the d zone and can’t hit the net in the offensive zone while pinching in too often creating odd man breaks against the Blues. I liked him at first. I’m really starting to turn against him the last few years. There was hope he’d turn into something better than he has. Now the Blues might be stuck with him
Edit: I also don’t think it’s right to place all the Blues defensive struggles on the shoulders of Faulk and Parayko. They do what they can against the best the opponents have to offer most of the time by themselves because they are playing with a partner that isn’t up to that level of play. The Blues injuries on defense has crippled them this year |

I'm not saying he's the sole reason for defensive struggles. Just that I think he was vastly overvalued when AP was there to shoulder the heaviest minutes. He's a good 3/4 defenseman when he has a decent partner, but he's not a top-pair anchor. |
