Big game tonight. Most of the pacific teams in action. Need to come out and have that focused solid effort tonight. Like Hayden, but thinking we are going to really miss Burakovsky. Another big game and tough opponent here.
On a plus side Hughes is banged up and week to week for the Devils too |

Need one point for sure, preferably two. |

With Barakovsky out, would you guys be interested in Brock Boeser.
A noted 30 goal pace scorer. |

Ouch. Tough one. Again outshooting them but PK gave up a pair. Not a lot of support again with Gru in net. Only good thing is some losses to Edmonton and Calgary. Vegas leading after 2 though.
On a role before the AS break and coming out just a tad cold. Though guys all coming back at least. |

Dont see a real fit for him and dont know if Francis would pay the price asked there. |

Well the price would probably be an expiring contract like Soucy to help balance the cap. No team is taking on Boeser for actual assets. |

I was just trying to trigger vintage, he is a huge fan of Boeser. |

Missed the game but it looks like it was close right until the end.
Back at it tonight at MSG. |

I mean, I think he’s a nice kid with a good heart, and he has amazing hair.
If the deal was Soucy and a 2024 3rd rounder (the higher of Seattle or Toronto’s picks) for Boeser with $2m retained I’d make that deal. |

Problem there is Francis and Hak are big fans of Soucy and he has developed well. I don't think Francis is too worried about moving him here. Part of the big 4 and he plays both sides too. I think honestly if anything the plan there might be to just ride it out to the offseason.
Not a bad trade there but don't like moving out a d man when we just finally added one and got some depth there. Borgen as a RFA might be more what Van would want, less chance the player just walks in the offseason though not quite as high ceiling I don't think as Soucy.

Honestly you kind of wonder if we were not in a playoff spot at this point, how much of a sell off once again would Francis be looking at and doing to just keep stocking the cupboards?
I would think one of the goalies would likely go to a contender, likely Jones, especially with Dreidger back on the ice at practice. Maybe Schultz, Eberle, Donato who was red hot there going into the AS Break as rental type moves. Maybe Gourde with the right offer to a contender even.
Being where we are and in the playoff spot, it certainly is making life interesting and unusual for year two here. |

Yeah, just don’t think Soucy signs in Seattle next year and Canucks are desperate for cap flexibility, so I think they would prefer an expiring contract to an RFA. Unless they were looking to swap a forward for a defender longer term.
Either way, Seattle doesn’t need to spend big assets for any forward addition this year. Just be patient. |

That’s an interesting perspective. The standings are very tight, and a five game losing streak could put the Kraken below the playoff bar. |

Rough game, a glimpse of a comeback in the third but not enough. If only they had a sniper like Boeser… |

3 straight losses. Special teams are just ugly right now. Rough schedule no less too but man…. We really lost the momentum with the break. Hopefully get it sorted out, get healthy, and back on a role here. |

It’s been a rough road trip so far but the schedule gets a little more palatable.

If they fall out of the playoffs in 2 weeks I could see some selling happening.

Ugly game vs Flyers so far. Just sloppy and gave up the lead. Gru is just… ok but man for what he makes he really isnt great.
Schultz in the 1st looked like he got re-injured but back on the bench again for 2nd. |

I dont think they 18 wheeler it. We just have to get our game back in order. Right now just sloppy and bad part of the schedule to boot. Damn all star stuff. |

Schwartz!!!! All alone in the slot and great screen. 3-2 Kraken |

Need a strong 3rd and the win especially with the Habs doing us a favor on the Oil today.
Schwartz!!! Sandstrom screened and he nets another and 4-2 just over a minute in!!!
Gru comin up big!!!
6:44 to go. 🤣 Farabee. Keep your head up and if you are gonna try fighting get the right guy
3:50 to go and Flyers hit with Delay of Game penalty. Perfect!!!
Oh 🤬🤬🤬 come on!! Right through Gru. Absolutely brutal SHG
Tanev a huge hit and damn that was dangerously close. 15.8 seconds now.
Beniers!!!! Massive block off thevinside of the knee at the end but Kraken win!!!! |

At the end of the year, when they tally the points, these two are worth the same as a SO win over the Bruins.
Just need to take this and use it to help get back on track. |

Absolutely, though wins in ties rank higher so glad we got the outright win.
Hopefully can build on this and clan up the turnovers and sloppiness and get right back on another good role. |
