When RW just sticks to hockey without his SJW hat on and without his biased Malkin hard-on, he makes some really good sense. |

Sabres will finish at least 10 points ahead of Pens.
Hextall and the Pens Roster = Garbage.

“ This team is barreling towards being a late stage Detroit Red Wings we saw Ken Holland bumble his way through.”
Buddy.. they are already the late stage Red Wings lol how many first round losses did the Wings have before they sucked? What are the Pens on, 3 or 4? The barreling has already happened lol. |

It’s nice to see Sabres fans being humble now that their team is playing decent. Especially after their team was one of the worst teams in the NHL for over a decade. |

100%. Sid, Geno, Letang, and Flower are all legends.
Time to enter the rebuild. At least Pens fans should have several years of good will built up to watch youngsters develop. |

I’m cool with watching those guys play into the sunset. I just want them to retire in the black and gold. I’m cool with the mediocrity for the next 5-6 years. Rebuild can happen when those guys retire. |

Honestly I wouldn’t mind watching them play on other teams and watch them have a legit run at another one. Well all but Sid he should be overseeing the rebuild right now. |

I'd actually be surprised if one or two of them don't finish with another team. Better chance of that happening than all 3 finishing in Pittsburgh IMO.

I could see Malkin retiring and Letang moving on. Sid finishing his career here, alone. |

I’m happy for MAF getting better opportunities since he left. He’s been better off than staying around the past few years.
Either way hex is a bad gm. |

The rebuild has already begun. Pickering is here to stay and we aren't trading our high picks.

Not FLOWER He wilted too many times in the playoffs and they probably should have won 2 more Cups with decent goaltending He is the single person to take off that legends statement He was the reason they did not win more Poor goaltending causes a lot of problems He has a history of choking and that is LEGENDary
Nice guy I admit but a choker none the less |

Pens also had scuds Paul Martin aging orpik on D. Not sure what u expect with d collapses all the time.
MAF has some blame but it was a poor roster. |

Fleury was a very positionally unsound goalie who relied almost exclusively on his incredible athleticism to get by. If you look at almost (there are always exceptions) every top goalie since Hasek, they don't need to make tremendous acrobatic saves; they are square to the shooter and are good with their angles. And yes, they need to make the highlight reel save now and again.
Fleury was not a very square goalie and was not good with his angles. But he was fast, agile, and incredibly athletic. So if you need a goalie to make a sliding save from side to side, yes, give me MAF. If I have a guy taking a shot from he slot, I'd rather have a guy like Barasso. MAF was as likely to pitch a shutout as he was to give up 4+ goals.
Was he a BAD goalie? No, not at all. Was he an ELITE goalie? Not for any sustained period of time, especially during his Pittsburgh career, and ESPECIALLY during the playoffs. |

Oh, absolutely, I agree. But as for calling him a "legend" on par with Crosby, Malkin, and even Letang...no. |
