Lappy played 1,000 NHL games based PRIMARILY on his work ethic and dedication. He absolutely belongs on the list, whether you like him as a coach or not. |

Has zero to do with him as a coach. I am looking at his FLYERS RESUME not his career. My apologies if my opinion differs than yours. So to me no he doesn't absolutely belong on that list.

He won a Masterton Trophy as a Flyer. Yes, it was kind of a lifetime achievement award, as he'd already suffered the career-ending post-concussion issues by that point. But Laperriere was an important part of the last Flyers team that got the Cup Flnal (or past the second round) and he dressed in every game until taking a puck to the face in the playoffs and somehow coming back in the ECF (although he shouldn't have).
I was around the rink on a daily basis. No one -- not Pronger, Richards, Hartnell, a young Giroux or anyone else -- outworked Laperriere on a day-in and day-out basis.
To me, his inclusion was a no-brainer. |

Lappy?
82 games as a Flyer. Wish we never had anything to do with him.
He would to have had a season equivalent to Gretzkyās best season to come close to the damage he has incurred on the organization since his retirement. |

BrindāAmour was known league wide for his strong work ethic on ice and health regimen off it. Heās gotta slot in somewhere. |

Leaving Brindāamour off was tough, but I just couldnāt put him ahead of Clarke or Poulin. Poulin played through injury as much as anyone in franchise history and he was an inspiration to his teammates. The game 7 vs the Isles where he played with broken ribs was awe inspiring. I was in the Spectrum that night and the roar from the crowd when he hit the ice for warm ups was deafening! |

Podein was probably my favorite player from the really good mid/late-90's Flyers teams because of his constant hustle and upbeat personality.
Brind'Amour of course should be mentioned here for his work ethic / fitness, like others have said - he was sort of like Pat Croce on skates. I loved Poulin on the '80's teams also for his work ethic, but my feeling is that he was a bit more cerebral as opposed to Brind'Amour's fitness calling card. |

Damn, forgot Falloon. Would definitely slot him in over DV. Was Cechmanek lazy? No, not really, but he really didnāt seem to care all that much and many of teammates said he was only in it for the paycheck. Huber, by the time he got to the Flyers, was washed up and just going through the motions. |

Huber was very productive in his short stint imo. Ric Natress seemed lazy and not a care in the world during his very short time here. |

When I read the first paragraph of the blog immediately thought of Kapanen and Tocchet. Two favorites and absolute hard workers For his time in Philly alone Richards gets an honorable mention, Not as talented as some of the other 03 Draft Class, he sure hustled his all every shift early on here. Roman was one of my absolute favorite goalies to watch, but if we could just judge it in the regular season he would be in the mix, however all I can remember is how disinterested he looked in that heartbreaking Buffalo playoff series. |
