Does anyone outside of Detroit care about whether Simon Edvinsson makes the roster this year? Unlike Seider, who had top pair potential, most hockey experts I know project the ceiling for Edvinsson as a 3/4 d-man. With Detroit being a bottom 10 team. Not a story I'm that intrigued about.
As for Kakko..."He's only 20, but this will be his fourth NHL season.". Didn't something jump out as unusual when you wrote that sentence? Kakko turned 21, almost 7 months ago. He'll be 22 this winter.
Subban was a 3rd pair d-man in NJ and struggled. Slowest guy on the ice. Takes plenty of holding and hooking penalties because he can't keep up. I really don't see any contender signing him.

Hopefully Lafreniere and Kakko end up being nothing more than middle of the lineup forwards. - jfkst1

Kakko does not progress past the 3rd line. Laf is slowly progressing and is becoming a bit of a pest. Laf will be the Marchand of the Rags in 2 years, but less creepy.
1. Edvinsson gonna be really good
2. Lafreniere is Daigle 2.0
3. Kakko is actually a bigger bust than Lafreniere
4. Love what the Sens did. Should be a fun team to watch. Probably not a playoff team but on the right track.
5. I’m surprised he hasn’t signed with the leafs on a one year thing
6. Lou is the worst GM in sports
7. Excited about Lane Lambert but Lou is still the worst GM in sports
8. Where the Flames ever true contenders?

😆 AllAn says he still has impact! That may be true in the dirty and cheap department. But i doubt guys who watch every Devils game agree with AllAn on his great hockey qualities he had in his past.
Anyone remember the talk about Vegas acquiring Price or Varlamov or some other "big name" goalie to replace Lehner?
As I said that day, Lehner out for the year was a blessing. They will simply run with Logan Thompson and Brossoit for now. If they are worried about Brossoit's recovery, then they will add a cheap veteran either via trade or on waivers. I specifically noted that San Jose had 3 goalies and were forced to make a move.
Sure enough, Vegas acquired Adin Hill from San Jose for a late pick, meaning Brossoit likely starts on IR. No sources. Just know the league...
Lol literally clicked for fun thinking "let's see how far into until it turns into RED WINGS BUZZ" ...turns out it was immediate. SMH. Ek just make Kevin the Red Wings blogger so people who don't care about how great Stevie Y & the Red Wings are can avoid.
