Love Comrade Kadri in the KHL |

And maybe some teams see him like a hot 🔥 🥵 potato 🥔 like Dubas did. |

Wouldn’t you love to see if he has had any offers and what they consisted of?

All the old creep needs to do to open up 5 million is trade his backup goalie who is a hell of a goalie and worth at least a 2nd round pick. But he continues to be a senile old POS so… |

I just wish this were over so I didn't have to read about it everywhere or constantly worry that MacFarland will make some detrimental trade to bring him back. |

The only team other than the ones I listed that makes somewhat sense is Calgary (although I don't see him going back to Canada). It's likely going to be Avs and probably on a longer term, smaller cap then what he thought he would get on the open market ..... something like 6 years close to 7m, maybe less |

Poor Kadri.
This plays right into the victim card that he loves to play.

Does Colorado want him back? They moved quickly on signing LEHKONEN & NICHUSHKIN, maybe that’s a message for Kadri. |

You have no idea what the Avs are doing.
You didn't know they were trading for Grubauer
You didn't know they were trading for Burakovsky
You didn't know they were trading for Kadri
You didn't know they were trading for Toews
You didn't know they were trading for Saad
You didn't know they were trading for Manson
You didn't know they were trading for Lehkonen
You didn't know they were trading for Georgiev
You never mentioned a single one of these before they happened. You wrote over and over about them trading for Nylander, Drouin, Hall, Fleury and Giroux. You wrote that they were trading Duchene to one of "Columbus, the NY Islanders, and the Bruins" when the team you claim to be closest to (Nashville) was really one of their partners in that trade.
You don't have the first clue whether or not they're looking to clear cap space for Kadri. They could have just as easily decided to move on from him as they did with Grubauer, Saad, Kuemper and Burakovsky but because Kadri hasn't signed that hasn't been confirmed. |

The UFA market is nearly dead. There is no money. Had Johnny Gaudreau not signed with Columbus the cap freeze would have been even more obvious. If teams have any money they are putting it into resigning their own RFAs to long term deals.
Next year there will be even less cap space money for UFAs because the escrow clawback continues. And, the year after the cap squeeze will become even tighter.
This is essentially the frozen cap era. Demand has gone away, prices will come down. UFAs will soon realize that the money they thought they were going to get has been permanently committed into long term deals with 23-24 year old RFAs. The big money for UFAs is not coming back. |

Maybe the Sens could help Kadri out. They trade Branstrom + a 3rd to the Avs for Girard, then the Avs could sign Kadri to a a 1 yr $6.5M deal.

Teams are running out of space, the market has cooled for now, and yes cost of creating cap space is high. The other aspect is Kadri likely wants a team that is competitive and also wants a big pay day.

Kadri wants more money then his production justifies......yes, he had a great season, but that is not the norm, and won't be going forward. Add in all the cap issues described in this article, and you have what you have.....unsigned. |

That's what I was told the other day. Verbeek is asking Sakic, "How BAD do you want Nazem Kadri back?" Apparently not bad enough........yet! |

From @FriedgeHNIC on Kadri: he "wouldn't be surprised if Detroit is kicking around there." #LGRW
Would have to be a short term deal and the Wings would have way too many forwards. Kadri is likely going to have to do what Klingberg did and just sign a 1 year deal with a team with cap space and get traded to a contender at the deadline hoping a good season and playoffs might get him a longer term contract next summer. |
