Good thing Anaheim isn't interested in any of these players. They've only got $30+ million in cap space.

Plenty of teams looking to move money around to make cap space to do something. Problem is very few teams have the cap space or are willing to take any money unless it comes with a draft pick or prospect. Aside from the Ducks, all the other teams with a decent amount of cap space don't have to do anything unless it benefits them to do so. Teams with cap space have all the leverage and can set the price as high as they want.
They can also leverage that against the remaining UFAs to get the salary and term they want since very few teams can afford to sign them. |

What an exaggeration. Many of the teams that appear be over the cap have massive LTIR amounts. Even teams that HAVE cap space is understated due to LTIR. Then the issue of capfriendly that projects rosters that aren't even close to being accurate, often filling spots with AHL guys or ELCs when they won't be on the roster.
But I've also always said that UFAs should take the first decent offer and sign it. Guys like Copp, Trochek, Rakell, Burakovsky were smart. Guys like Kadri, Klingberg, Niederreiter were given bad advice.
