Keep in mind even if we make the play offs we went 1-3 against the oil stain this year.
To me that's great news as that may lull them into a false sense of confidence

Quickie will need to steal 3 games for us to have a chance and Smith will need to go back to playing like Mike Smith. I'm just hoping for at least 6 games of experience for the kids.

easier said than done... the Kings will need to solve McDavid and Draisitl.. oh and stay of of the box. I think the Kings have a chance of beating the Oilers.

i posted on the EDM blog that it will be interesting to see how the refs call the series. If it's obstruction free, then we'll take a lot of penalties and it'll be over in 5 or fewer. If it's old school hockey and McJebus and Drai are hit nonstop then I like our chances to win a few games. But i think it will take the kids at least 3 games before they realize they are going to get hit everytime they touch the ice. If they can respond to that physicality quickly then our chances go up. Kind of a blessing to get their feet wet with EDM rather than a bruising CAL...

Let's hope Brownie leaves it all out there now that he has announced his retirement.

He'll need to throw his body around like it's 2012 and everyone is a Sedin. I was watching some old cup run games the last few days and I just don't see Kopi playing the way he'll need to play to help this team win. I don't know that he'll hold up to the physical stress that awaits. I feel Danualt will cement himself as our 1C this round. Maybe Kopi ends up being our 3C next season.
