You're assuming only one team is bidding. Or everyone wanting Miller needs salary retained. I'm assuming other teams are involved and not all of them are insisting on retaining salary.
Why the fuck would Vancouver be worried about keeping cap space for signing Hoglander? You get an early start to Oktoberfest?

- Marwood

I'm not saying the Canucks have to retain salary, just saying they could. If multiple teams are bidding, and one offers the best package if they retain a little bit, then that's something that has to be considered, no?

As I said to Ruby, it's not necessarily cap space for Hoglander and Horvat. If you don't trade JTM you'll have to decide to sign Hoglander, Horvat, AND Miller (or can lose him for nothing as a UFA, or trade Horvat, or multiple other combinations of trading players). And I'm definitely not "worried" about siging Hoglander.

Consider, sure but I think they can find a deal that doesn't include retained salary. I would think the Canucks have the upper hand in this particular scenario.
You're a good poster.

Don't know how connected this Shane Seney is, but he suggests that Toronto is now in on Miller

He is another one that thinks Canucks should trade Miller for B level prospects, kinda like the Rangers fans
