John Tonelli for HOF - Tee56
Knew this was coming but I guess that doesn’t exactly make me Nostradamus. |

Doug Wilson goes into the HOF before Tonelli really?
I don’t care if one was a D-man vs. Winger check the stats.

Lots of rotation at #Isles practice but it appears Zach Parise is skating with Mat Barzal and Anders Lee and Josh Bailey is working on J-G Pageau’s line.

Isles have to fix the defense and this lousy PP. The Wild PP was a thing of beauty the other night. |

Sounds like a motivation tactic. Not getting what he wants from locker room talks so next step is to say it publicly. Put a little pressure on the guys. |

Agreed he has been working hard. May jump start him playing with Barzy. All I know is Bailey isn’t working there. |

Yep just joking but if we were to make a trade I’d rather it be sooner rather then later. |

I’m not even sure who we would trade at this point unless it’s picks and prospects. And as a few have mentioned the max potential from Boychuk contract will be at deadline. So not sure what he’d do. Obviously could use a LD and scoring punch. Just not sure we’ll see either anytime soon. But what do I know. |

Yep. Best way to maximize the space but I guess it depends on if they think we need help now. I doubt they do this start is pretty much the norm for this team the last few years. |

Yeah agree but we are currently last in the division and third to last in the conference. Granted, we haven’t played a home game and it’s still early, but at some point you have to get concerned about making up ground. Plus there are some teams that are playing far better in their rebuilds than I anticipated. We’ll see if they continue but you could argue now is a good time to make a move if there is real concern. We are built for the playoffs but you have to get there first. And that style isn’t really conducive to regular season hockey so who knows. |

Agree with all of this and I’ll also add it would be nice to get home ice. I know I say the same thing every season and we still go far in the playoffs but maybe that gives us a little advantage. Have to try to gain any advantage you possibly can in the PO’s. |

John had 15 more goals in 32 less games. That’s all that matters.

Last game in a loss to a depleted VGK team the Wild power play was a lousy 0 for 6 with a 1:39 5 on 3 with only 3 perimeter SOG. Ours is a concern.

They looked like the 80’s Oilers against the Islanders. |

They were really good that night. But the PP is inconsistent. The 3rd period was probably the team’s best period of the season and then the 1st period against Vegas was their worst. Wild were lucky to play the Islanders now with them being road weary. |

I haven't looked up the stats, but I don't think any coach would turn down last change in a game 7 (or ever). Not to mention the fans going nuts. |
