It's interesting to see Kyle "the man" Okposo take the reigns. He clearly cares. In the end, with a roster as devoid of high-end talent as this one is, giving a poop will go a long way with the fans.

I've always been a fan of his. Kyle the guy, Kyle the defensive forward. But I've never been a bigger fan of his than I am now, and that includes 2016 at signing. And yes he's still way overpaid.

It would be easy for him to mail-in these last two years with his AAV now above his actual salary but he isn't.
He's one of the good guys. This is a plucky group and he's their leader
Nice Read Hank!! Love the high energy puck pressure game. And Cozens might need a little time in the A, he is putting way to much pressure on himself. Hopefully Donnie can get him to calm down.
What can I say; I like an underdog and that's these guys.
They're supposed to be a raging dumpster fire but guys like Girgensons and Okposo don't want to go down without a fight. It's genuinely admirable - Hank Balling
Certainly some good underdog stories. Tokarski is my favorite, I enjoy any success he has.

Thx
He's way inside of his own head. He never got a goal in the pre season and I think that is weighing on him. He got that chance that went through the crease today
Nice write up Hank. It was a real pleasure to watch a Sabres team to put in a full 60 minute effort. Two games in a row.
Regarding Tage, lots to like about him from the first two games (including the shootout goal today) but man-o-man, he needs more accuracy with his cannon. Too often he is missing on glorious chances in prime scoring areas.
Regarding Cozens, I hope Donnie moves him to 3rd line centre to reduce the expectations he is putting on himself. Move Ruistolanen (sp) to #2 centre. Or bring up Jankowski (just signed) from Rochester and plug him in at centre until Mitts gets back.
Stating the obvious but it sure would be nice to have Borgen on this team right now. I see he is sitting again. Wonder if they could send them a 5th or something to get him back?

Was it Dahlin who fed him for that one timer in the second? That was indeed a glorious chance. They had a problem getting pucks on net most of the day despite crushing the Coyotes with possession and chances
