This is pretty much how I expect the draft to go. Although I still think LA will pick Stutzle #2 and Ottawa will get Byfield with #3. other than that I think the rest is quite accurate.

the Jets need a proven goal scorer? they were the only team last year with 5 - 20+ goal scorers, so ya, makes sense

When I look at the draft I look for names that sound epic, marketable, fun to say then match them with their skills.

Here are the names that ring out as future stars to me.

Marco Rossi (sounds like a star) and I think its perfect fit for the ducks.
Conner Zary
Yaroslav Askarov (just a killer name, I can hear it in an old timey voice "STOPPED by Askarov!)
Tyson Foerster
Jake Sanderson

Thoughts? Your own choices?

just because someone played center as 17/18 year olds doesn't mean they will play center in the NHL. It's very common for centers to play on the wing in the NHL.

Russ Cohen, the Caps pick 24th, give them Perrault instead. Caps have too many LHD in system. Thanks.

This is a surprisingly banal mock draft, with pretty much the most frequently-cited 31 players imaginable, yet a number of questionable statements and actual team selections. Citing Byfield's potential physical game is a strange choice for a one-sentence summary of a player who's frequently been criticized for not using his size more effectively. I have no clue what boxes Gunler checks off for the Leafs... but when Dubas says they need to be harder to play against, I'm pretty sure a butter-soft one-dimensional offensive player with questionable character is not what he meant. Then, of course, there's the comment about Montreal centres, which makes no sense. Plus, Braden Schneider is apparently an offensive d-man, which is virtually impossible to draw as a conclusion if you've seen/read/heard literally anything about him. The rest of the comments I'm pretty sure I could find plagiarized from any number of other mock drafts.

This guy may very well know his stuff, but he seriously mailed it in with this mock draft.

No way the Sabres take defense. Dumb mock draft. Lundell won't fall to 11.
