As for Ferland my guess is because of his concussion history LTIR health status he's more at risk for Covid (brain damage effects) Why Sven probably opted out. The protocol is these at risk players have to clear NHL doctors approval to go into phase 3. I believe Domi is doing same in MTL regardless of the positive player testing rumors.

A buddy and I were talking about the players who have opted out the other day. I think Baertchi opted out because his odds of getting into the lineup are pretty thin, so why go be away from your family for the undetermined amount of time to not play. Hamonic in Calgary is a tough one, I'm not sure but he's a family man through and through so that would make sense. Mike Green in Edmonton is another i'm not sure about, but it seems that the amount of time/opportunity to play is definitely a factor.

Great stuff, as usual Carol! Great to see training camp stuff and think about the interviews and stuff. Drance is a dumbass.

Would be great if OJ did it with his new PK skills. Brisebois has a good chance too as reliable big D. Benn has to go back to Dallas for girlfriend's due date and re-quarantine so he'd miss the Wild games.

I don't think it will be long as Brisebois Sautner and Rafferty are all there, and if I heard correctly Rafferty joined the first group today replacing Chatfield.

Reading up a lot lately on analytics to add to my eye test. Convinced me Boeser better with Petey Miller. Bo usually matches up against the top line so Toffoli is the better fit. Sure he had instant chemistry but it’s play to win time.
