I would think we are so up against the cap we can’t transition players between the big club and the farm club properly, so something had to give somewhere. 🧐 |

Wonder if Kylington is going to be out for a game or two and they need space for an 8th d? |

Darren Haynes:
Checking in on the two seventh-round picks...
- G Dustin Wolf (2019, 214th overall), Everett (WHL) | He's 6-1-0 in October with a 1.42 GAA, .957 SV%
- RW Dmitri Zavgorodniy (2018, 198th overall), Rimouski (QMHL) | He's third in league scoring with 12-19-31 in 16 games

Would be nice to hit on a goalie for a change. Carter Hart was their last goalie. |

Well it was in response to the waiving of Herr Tobias-Rieder, so no, I think the timing is right.
As to the Flames, you (frank)ers will be fine. I don’t like it mind you, but I think it shall be so. |

Crazy how it seems an Oilers fan is one of the most positive people in here lately.
The Flames aren't that far off from where they were this time last year and they still won the West. I'm not saying they win the West again or even the Division, I'm just saying it is way too early to be pulling the plug. They could have easily won a couple of the games they've lost and then all of the sudden we'd be talking about how great this team is.
Season is far from over and there's still a lot of hockey left to be played. It is stupid to write off any team this early in the season, let alone one that would be in the playoffs if they started today like the Flames are. There's certainly some things to work on and be better at but there's still time. |

They're only three points from the conference lead. It's super early in the season but they need to start getting some goals from the top line. |

Loving this, as always, hard to base off of Junior stats, but Zav has done nothing but produce in the Q and Wolf could be a sneaky little pick by the Flames.
Zav is getting a bit of benefit from playing with Lafreniere this year, but was still a PPG guy last year. Projects to 3rd line from the scouting reports I've read so far, but that could change too... Oceanic have had nearly 70% of the teams production come from the top line and 1 dman... crazy. |
