I'm okay moving on from Jake if he doesn't step it up.
Only a matter of time for Goldy.
Some assets in return would be nice. |
|

I don’t see either Jake or Goldy being strong contributors to this team and its nearing a time to see what their return would be in a trade.
I’ve said previously that I would take a chance on Puljujarvi...would consider him in exchange for one or both of Jake & Goldy. Maybe he’s got a bad attitude, but Edm has almost certainly contributed to that. A fresh start might be good motivation.
Prior to Big Buf’s suspension/retirement, I thought the Jets would be a good trade partner, but that seems less likely now. Maybe Buffalo, with a package for Risto? |

Thanks Carol.
I don't think the team can recoup "assets" for either Virtanen or Goldobin. Other teams GM aren't likely to pull a Benning and give up anything of quality for a player about to hit the waiver wire. |

Would you consider adding in Tryamkin’s rights in a package with Goldy? Whether Tree returns to Vcr might be influenced by having other young Russians on the team. Podz is still a year & a half away at the earliest. Of course, you’d have to believe Tree can be a contributor if he came back before you worried about that... |

I doubt it. You'll get a similarly un spectacular player who hasn't lived up to their potential. The team doesn't really need that. |

Other teams have expressed interest . It won't be a huge return but OH There Is A Return.
Goldobin is really over rated. Send him to the Comets for all I care.

Sometimes it's just a change of scenery. See Marcus Naslund, Cam Neely |

I don't believe the Canucks can get a draft pick for either player. To me it would be a player for player situation. If it's a winger for a D, then it will be Benning who's adding a sweetener... |

It could be a couple of things. Vintsy isn't wrong it won't be spectacular but he can be packaged . He can also be traded for a guy for a team looking to get younger . LA comes to mind Tofolli for Goldy Jake and Schaller brings the salary close. |

Doesn't really help the team does it? Would Vancouver sign him and bring him over after missing all of training camp and pre-season? He would have to win a spot by going down to Utica, or the Canucks would have to be confident he was a better option than an existing player. I don't see it. |

Habs LA Edm have expressed interest in Jake. You are not wrong but Benning won't be adding a draft pick to move Jake . That would be suicide .

Respect for Boeser on the shape he reported in. His conditioning doesnt look like he missed any time at camp. Showed up without his usual chubbiness and his moving very well. He just needs to dial his hands in a bit.
I don't think you are going to see any groin issues etc this season. Aside from normal in game risks, I predict he'll have a healthy season and most likely a career season on top of that. |

JP is playing in the Finnish Elite League (SM-Liga) where he appears to be doing ok — 1 ppl through 5 games. I think you could give him a chance to show what he can do before sending him down.
It’s a long shot that he is a better option than Pearson, Leivo, Motte, or Eriksson...but the bet would be that he can be better for the Canucks than someone like Jake or Goldy. Don’t know if he would be, but neither Jake nor Goldy appear poised to do anything other than sit in the press box or the end of the bench playing 5-10 minutes per game.

Year, until Dec. but are you confident he would be better than one of the Canucks top 6/9 forwards? Palmu did pretty well in the Fin league... |
