With all their first round picks and so close to the cap is SHAMEFUL

I can't say JB is going to do what I want anymore without the second buyout period available to them.

I would have liked him trade useable salary in Baertschi or Sutter for more unusable salary like Trevor Daley, Patrick Eaves then buy them out. Save the team a couple million for this season and next on at least Sutter and Baertschi's contracts. Plus ya know getting a little something for doing it.

Look at the Jets downward spiral. Last season it was take Armia and Mason for an ECHL defender. This year they are still in cap trouble. Couldn't afford to keep Myers, Chariot, Tanev.

All teams and different situations but look at the Penguins. They identified a few star players and there contracts look pretty awesome now but Pens have not had a first round pick in a long time they had to pay extra for. Swap in and out the spare parts all the time for a few cheaper ones. They won 3 cup.

Comes down to drafting in later rounds. JB is the man that has been best at that for Van in a very long time. Once they establish a core we could do whatever they want. Give the man a 3 year extension and let him work.

If those two damn guys could stay healthy for 70 games a season.

Sutter isn't going to shut down another team's top line for an entire game. Maybe parts but that should fall onto all centres.
