I like Bob as a panther. Lots of money in goalies in recapture and buyouts though. Guess they only worry if the cap doesnt go up.
But if the Panthers only get Bob it's a win in my books. |

I can't believe there wasn't a taker for Reimer at 50% retained
Would have cost the Panthers less (both cap wise and $$$ wise)
Reimer at 1.7 would be a deal for the team getting him, even as a 30 game backup

He was pretty streaky, but agreed that $1.7 M could be a deal/steal for a team. |

He’ll be a solid signing, but what do you think about that rumored numbers of the contract?
7-year, $10M per
I’m not too keen on how that’s looking...haha. |

Wow, that's a big chunk. Supposedly Tallon has green light to use signing bonuses, we'll see if it is structured in a way to make it easier to move the last couple of years of the deal. |

I certainly hope so, Rats.
That rumored deal is massive, man. Could potentially be very problematic down the line.
I can’t really remember a time where these huge deals ever end up working out. |

Lol, I guess if the first four go well enough, I won't really care too much about the last three |

Brett Connolly very underrated signing. Hard nose player who will fit well on the bottom six. Andrew Shaw type player. |

Can you please explain how the Reimer trade made any sense whatsoever. Why didn't they just buy out Reimer? How is a sixth-round pick worth the extra real money owed and the extra cap hit in 3 of the next 4 years? |

I’m guessing they wanted to at least get something (even if it was a sixth round pick) and also avoid having to pay that $2.25 M signing bonus that kicks in, just to then buy him out?
I read that the lingering signing bonus is what made him tough to trade. |

Yeah, the signing bonus due next year made buying Reimer out pointless. Would've made it harder to re-sign Dadonov next year.
It's not midnight yet, lol. CBJ making last offer to Breadman. I may as well add to all the speculation... Maybe these crazy numbers are what it takes to beat the Panthers offer that he's really leaning towards. Maybe they'll get Tallon to panic and raise his "best offer". Still an hour before anything can even be signed. Bread's agent is on the phone sounding like an auctioneer.

A lot of fans are upset we are more
than likely not gonna sign the breadman. That just tells me they don’t really understand our team and what we really need. We essentially have the goal scorer panarin is in Hoffman. We can use that money elsewhere and sign some other depth forwards and get a nice shut down d man. |

Well we picked up Anton stralman, Noel acciari and brett Connolly. While adding a top 5 goaltender. Pretty much exactly what we needed. Anton stralman was one of those shut down d man I was talking about. Yes he’s getting older, but we need more experience on the back end. Extremely happy with how the day is playing out. |

Positive day overall. Don’t like the Stralman signing. I prefer Jodie Benn, 2 yrs younger and a lot cheaper |
