Carol Schram: Record-setting 50/50 jackpot was the best part of Canucks' OT loss to Kings Without much excitement on the ice on Tuesday night, a 50/50 jackpot with a total prize worth more than $700,000 generated most of the excitement as the Vancouver Canucks opened their homestand by dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to the Los Angeles Kings.

Was gonna watch but fell asleep 😴

Hope Boeser and Pettersson can form a dynamic duo. Not sure who the third wheel should be on that line.

I think the rest of the year is going to be quiet, win two, lose three or four kinda deal.

that team has some talent but no chemistry, Canucks have very little talent but seemingly good chemistry. Polar opposites. Except they both have a meddling ownership group.

Thanks Carol! The boys all looked a little banged up and tired.

Other news: Alzner has been waived. Told ya! I remember so many on here wanting him, not that any of you will own it now

Both have some of the worst goalies too. Hakstol will be getting the axe, but not until they got a GM. Brutal defensively for how talented they are. I’d give that lineup a good shake. Simmonds, ghost, voracek I’d probably all deal if you can sell high on them. They got some really good kids coming in.

I don't remember recalling a single person who wanted him? I remember it being pretty unanimous that no one wanted another sbisa.

this is also year 2. It's not as though he wasn't signed after they won the cup or anything. They won the cup in large part because hes no longer there.

I remember his name being mentioned a few times when he was a pending UFA with the Caps.

Then an article came out where he was quoted saying that he can barely feel the movement in his fingers anymore after blocking so many shots and it scared the few that wanted him. Probably scared away a few GM's too because he signed for less than what most were expecting him to.

That quote he gave probably cost him a decent chunk of change.

I remember that, Alzner's done...no one needs a slow, lumbering, expensive defencemen in today's game.

a total exaggeration that the year the caps cut him loose is the same year they win the cup? or that I say he sucks and that I don't recall anyone in here wanting him after he was waived and unclaimed? lay off the hotdogs lefty they are clouding your ability to think straight

BTW, I bet if Alzner was the spokesperson for Schneiders Weiner's you would want him
