Are you kidding me? There was nothing "gutless", "sneaky", "unprovoked" or "suckered" about the punch. Even the announcer stated that Eckblad had been hacking Domi all game. The only gutless thing about the situation is Eckblad. Playing dirty all game then refusing to fight when called out despite being 5 inches taller and roughly 20 pounds heavier than Domi. Thats gutless and makes him a chicken s#@t coward in my book

What is going on in northern Canada? Ottawa is a dumpster fire and then you have Montreal giving away talented players like hot-cakes only to be replaced by goons.
I'm guessing that Ekblad was playing a hack-n-run game and Domi got frustrated.
Maybe the refs should have done something about Ekblad before this happened.

Domi's sucker punch is as ignorant and gutless as your juvenile homerism.
How is it a sucker punch when they were facing each other and Eckblad was obviously aware someone wanted to fight. If you dont want to fight dont play dirty plain and simple. Wanna play dirty then nut up when your victim wants to stand up for themselves.

How is Domi a goon when he was just sticking up for himself? Eckblads the goon for playing dirty all game then tucking tail when he was called out on it

If that's how he "sticks up for himself" as a star player who's going to get that kind of treatment often, he's gonna be missing a lot of games.

Domi is a tool, simple as that. He is frustrated at his scoring slump and just may be taking a page out of Dad's book. Tie was a fav of mine but that was a different era of hockey, Probert vs Domi was epic.

I liked the one where Tie hit the player who was held down on the ice and then literally hid behind Kaberle when big bad Luke Richardson challenged him to a fight.

I remember that game. It was Adam Burt. I think that was the end of the sequence when he backed down from Berube, then Sandy McCarthy, and then punched Burt while he was already getting beat up by some other guy.

Where in the rule book does it say you have to fight? Domi blew his stack and plugged Ekblad when he clearly did not want to engage. Talk about coward, waits 5 seconds until the officials are right on top of them and then sucker punches him, so that if it didn't drop him he didn't get the poop kicked out of him.

Remember when Tie tried to decapitate Niedermayer?
