Coutourier was simply a beast. He really is an old time player. He and Provorov.
Thought Hagg played well for his limited time on ice. He was out of position on the one goal but reacted well and played a good, simple game.
Here's hoping Provorov is okay |

Feel better Provy! - Sublime55
He did take a shift after he got hurt...he was on when Nuevy made that save on Crosby with 50 seconds left....hopefully it’s a bruised shoulder , not separated. Didn’t look like he could hold his stick...not good. |

Dont worry guys I got this. Flyers are 2-0 when I gear up at my buddies place. We lost all 3 games I streamed at home. So I will do my best to be there Sunday however I have a hockey game at 4 so hopefully it is a 7pm game. |

Compete level was much better tonight. Even though Neuvy gave up some goals I feel like he should have had, he held down the fort when it was absolutely needed.
I honestly have no idea if they win on Sunday, but if they can put in the effort they put in tonight, they'll have a shot. |

As much as I hate the Pens, I don’t root for any of them to get seriously injured. But if my team is going down I want them going down swinging. After 4 games I was pissed at the thought of the Penguins cruising through this series, and entering the second round without a scratch on them. Tonight the boys at least pushed back. I’m happy with the effort for sure, and glad they showed some resistance. Maybe they lose Sunday, and if so hopefully we see the same compete level. I appreciate the fact that at minimum they’ve not made it easy on this penguins team. |

Just looked up the Selke nominees' stats. Bergeron is added to the mix but it's really out of Couturier and Kopitar. Kopitar has great offensive numbers but neither of these guys could catch Coots in -/+. - SuperSchennBros
I don't get too out of joint on these awards.
I mean, Ghost's rookie year, I just wanted him to be in the conversation. I never thought he'd win. These awards are dopey and subjective.
I'm happy that people are finally seeing what we already knew about Sean Couturier. If he wins, great! If not, it doesn't diminish my opinion of him. His possession numbers were fantastic before he was put up with G on a line. He hung numbers in the Q. It's not like he lacked offensive skills. He just needed to be put in the position to do those things. |

An old time player would have skated out there on one leg and used his stick as a crutch.
He had a great game. |

Push posh. Giroux deserves the Hart. Couturier is as deserving as Kopitar for the Selke. |

As long as the team plays like they did tonight and game two, it doesn't matter who is in net. I don't want to hear Neuvirth was the right calls. Both goals he allowed were poop goals. The right answer between the pipes is whoever won the game, in front of a team that played well. |

They really did not play undisciplined tonight, the reffing was terrible. The trip on Filpula was actually comical when they showed it back in slow mo! They do need to stay out of the box though and maybe just maybe when the Referees look at the calls they made tonight they may lean to making a few calls in the Flyers favor on Sunday.

Yeah, that call to start the 3rd was f'n horrible, tilted the ice in the Pens favor for a good bit there. And wtf was up with that hit on G? Certainly looked like it should have been a penalty, but only saw the replay once. |

It's also about what he stopped. That save on Crosby was huge. |

I don't think he meant to hit him (can't say he even saw him, waiting to see if I can find video - maybe im off base). Seemed like collision. Oleksiak's just a big/awkward guy. |

That was a tough one as many could say |Oleksiak did not see him but after looking at it many times he hit him on purpose and the worst part is that it would have been a 2 on 1 as well if Giroux had not have been clipped so it should have been called |
